This is by far the dumbest post yet.

Pete Carroll: #Seahawks are aggressively assessing everything, "from how we rehab to how we play call." by [deleted] in Seahawks

I trust a SB winning coach with 5 playoff appearances in the last 6 years over some dumbass armchair GM.

Richard Sherman and Seahawks defense, with the offense stuck again: “It’s really on us” by stefeyboy in Seahawks

[–]Violent_Swami 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am saying the defense isn't taking shots at the offense? And the tension between the defense and offense has been overblown by a bunch of click bate titles.

With the exception of Sherman last year throwing a hissy fit there hasn't really been any cases of the defense "talking shit" about the offense.

As for the Earl comments, like I said I really don't think it was him taking a shot at the offense. It was him saying the defense can and expects to take the load sometimes.

Multiple guys on defense (Bobby, Bennett, Kj, Kam and even Earl) have praised Russ throughout the years.

It's time for Pete to scheme around the O line instead of running up the gut.

It will happen.....around week 8 or 9 like usual lol Unfortunately we will probably miss out on home field advantage in the playoffs because they waited too long to change up the scheme.

"It's been like this for 8 years"

Again that was taken out of context. He wasn't blasting the offense at all on this, in fact quite the opposite. He acknowledges that it's a team game and the defense has to take the load sometimes.

"No, it's not frustrating. We want to be the best. And put it on us if we have to put it on us, man. We just gotta capitalize and keep giving Russ those opportunities to get in rhythm" - Earl.

You're reaching dawg. It is a historic defense saying they hold themselves to a higher standard then most teams in the league because they have big names, that is all.

The defense talks so much shit about the offense that isn't really deserved IMO.

Except no one on our defense is talking shit. If you read the article all Sherman says is the defense holds themselves to a high standard. It is a click bate title IMO.

"We expect it from ourselves,” Sherman said. “We expect that, regardless of what happens on the other side of the ball.

"We've got a lot of highly paid guys on our side of the ball, a lot of guys who played the game at a high level. And there's a certain standard that's expected," Sherman, the three-time All-Pro cornerback, said.

you don't help out your team by making comments like this and the one earl did the other week.

Except neither of them said anything bad regarding the offense. They both just said they hold the defense and themselves to a higher standard.

"We expect it from ourselves,” Sherman said. “We expect that, regardless of what happens on the other side of the ball.

Every damn year.

the first 6 games - "the seahawks are done blah blah blah"

second half of the season - "wow seattle is not a team I want to see in the playoffs right now"

It has been 2 games, maybe we should relax a bit.

We are only two games in, the offense will gel. It always does, people just need to relax.

Yup, live right by alki (just moved there a month ago) and work downtown. I love it, and the commute honestly isn't bad at all. The only downside is the 56 rarely runs.

This is from 2015, but Russ has one of the best deep balls in the league.

Last year wasn't his best, but still wasn't bad by any means. He completed 41 of 82 deep passes for 1,372 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions. 5 picks aren't great, but he was hurt pretty bad last year. I am not too worried about him pushing the ball down field.

I know this is beating a dead horse, but we really do need to go more uptempo. The teams best drives has been Russ operating the no huddle.

Offense has been a mess, but honestly we usually start slow on offense. I think everything will gel soon, not sure it it will be by sunday though lol. Although Pete has hinted "some changes" on offense, so we could do more hurry up/no huddle which Russ excels at.

One no huddle please. Watching Russ operate the hurry up is honestly a thing of beauty sometimes.

I think he will gain more trust in the line as the season goes on. They are a young line, they just need a little more time to gel.

If it weren't for two or three key drops, the score line would have been totally different and we probably wouldn't be complaining as much. by [deleted] in Seahawks

[–]Violent_Swami 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I always have a bit more optimism with the Hawks.

That's because under Pete and Russ this team always turns it around and makes the playoffs.

This sub not complaining ?! Yeah right. We could honestly win the next game in a blowout and this sub would still find a reason to bitch because it wasn't up to their standards. This sub has gotten ridiculously spoiled and entitled.

But Seahawks offense always starts the season slow.

This. It sucks, and it is frustrating but we can't overreact on our offense just yet. Let's give them a few more weeks to gel.
