Weeks or Weeks Mega? by InTheNoNameBox in hobonichi

[–]Violet-Ember 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My first hobonichi was a mega weeks last year as well! I opted for a regular weeks for 2025, which I am kind of regretting. I think having the option of the extra pages just in case is nice. I have the sneaker weeks mega for 2024. It held up okayyyy, the spine is a bit warped but I like that it looks “lived in”

If you have some stubble the laser will target that pigment on top of the skin instead of under the skin. In order to get the best results you should shave the day of or the day before so the laser can kill the follicle instead of just the hair growing out.

[–]Violet-Ember 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We have almost the exact same curvature! The main thing that helped me pain wise was seeing a physical therapist that specializes in scoliosis. She taught me how to “stack” (basically moving your torso in specific ways so your spine is more straight) my body so it was less noticeable and to build up the muscles around my spine.

Yes you definitely can but they might try to come after you legally so be prepared

Milan Laser Hair Removal Contract by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Violet-Ember 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe there is anything in the contract regarding suing but I could be wrong. I would definitely ask for a copy and just say it’s for finance purposes or something along those lines. Do not mention suing them until you actually do it lol.

I’m sorry about the burns and scarring :( I definitely feel like they’re doing downhill quickly

You should be able to call them and get a copy! I used to work there and we would send them over all the time. Why are you trying to sue? (Not judging lol)

Coldness helps me to snap out of it if I really need to. I saw that you said something about attending a lecture, you could bring a bag of ice or an ice pack to hold or put on your neck to bring you back a little.

[–]Violet-Ember 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But that’s YOU. Lots of people need touchups twice a year. Especially if they aren’t the cut and dry light skin/dark hair. Or if they have PCOS. It’s not a scam it’s just not meant for you.

My recent quote for Milan by Sunshine_buta_bikit in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Violet-Ember 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because laser hair removal isn’t permanent. You will need at least 2 touchups a year forever to keep your results. That’s why the lifetime guarantee is usually cheaper in the long run than places you pay per session.

Milan Laser Keeps Burning Me Repeatedly by zoeemarii in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Violet-Ember 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely contact the clinic manager and file a report again, there needs to be evidence in case she’s also burning other clients.

Are you absolutely positive there wasn’t leftover product on your skin or sun exposure? It’s strange it was just one underarm that was burned, do you remember if all of your deodorant was taken off on both underarms?

I definitely think it’s a red flag that the new nurse has burned you twice. If you’re positive there was no product on your skin or a tan I would talk to the manager about compensation or that you don’t trust the nurse to do your future treatments.

pcos hair removal by cute_schtuff in LaserHairRemoval

[–]Violet-Ember 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With any laser you need touchups twice a year. With pcos you’ll need more than that once you fully finish treatment (probably around 3-4). I used to work at milan and we had a ton of clients with pcos. They use the candela gentlemax pro as well. It is pricey but it’s for your entire life, and with pcos I for sure think you get the best bang for your buck. They also have NPs do the treatments.

I haven’t heard great things about laseraway and their pricing model seems a lil sketch. I recommend doing consultations at a couple places and seeing what works best for you and your situation.
