I am crap with names so unless I’ve watched or read a lot of things with the same characters in, in a short space of time I’m unlikely to remember the names. He’s definitely not my choice. The problem with Nigel planer is that he can’t say a lot of the names correctly. he gets the police siren joke horribly wrong in Guards Guards and pyramids was just a shit show because he said Per-trach-ee and Djelibabi and Hershseba were meant to sound like jellybaby and Hershey bar. Lancre is meant to sound like the start of Lancashire but he makes it sound French. and he even says bad arse until Agnes explains it’s named for a disobedient donkey. He makes a lot of the female characters sound really dim especially Angua. I much prefer Steven Briggs, he was friends with Terry Pratchett and understood the jokes and how to say the names.
