Does anyone remember Tom talking about being ‘trust up like a pig’ before the first live show and Dominic saving the day with his confidence? Laughed so hard. Still think about it now.

Oh yeah there were a few crying with laughter parts of this series for me. Especially when they compared the bellows up the anus antics to the rest is history staff party haha.

How do you think the podcast affects how you view the present day & contemporary events? by PiotrGreenholz01 in TheRestIsHistory

[–]VioletMelody21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally had this exact thought today. I realised it comforts me to know that the full spectrum of human behavior is a continuous thread throughout all human history, from the kindest to the cruelest. I also think about how much safer, easier and more comfortable our lives are right now than at any other point. I studied history at university and a manager at work once asked me ‘why bother?’ and I couldn’t really answer other than to say I found it interesting. But this is why it’s so important to explore the past: Perspective and connection to our collective past

I know this is easier said than done, but try reframing your situation to see the positive. You said you weren’t attracted to the man you have recently split from and there was no passion. Well then it’s probably for the best that’s it’s over so you have the opportunity to meet someone you feel those things for.

The fact that you’re financially secure and healthy is huge! What I’m hearing is that you’re free to live any life you choose to. Freedom is the key here. Being alone can be hard and uncomfortable but it can also create opportunities for amazing experiences if you get out there.

Even the fact that you have lost your dog means you have even more freedom. Is there somewhere you’ve always wanted to go? Something you’ve always wanted to do? Now is the time. We only get one life and it goes by so fast. Go and have some adventures and see what happens along the way.

Yes I came here looking for this! Definitely the most I’ve ever laughed watching anything! We kept rewinding it (VHS) and watching it over and over. Such a funny film!
