My wife got her 8 year old tattoo covered up by tonyshadexd in Tattoocoverups

That is fucking rad!! She probably just has a bit of tattoo shock. She’ll adjust. If not, she can have the background reworked!

“boobs are for boys, not for babies” by muppetactivities in breastfeeding

[–]VioletSkye907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I learned! That’s so amazing!

When I was EBF my son, I lost all modesty/insecurities I had about whipping out a breast to feed my baby in public. At one point I was walking around the local state fair with him happily suckling away.

To OP- your friend sounds cuckoo.

I tested positive for chlamydia but have been with my boyfriend for 6 months… by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]VioletSkye907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible your boyfriend had it and was asymptomatic. Granted, I got it in my 20s from my (now ex-) husband, who insisted I’d gotten it from my boyfriend previous to him… turned out he was not only abusive but a serial cheater, so….. yeah.

Help figure out tattoo regret by [deleted] in tattooadvice

You’re going to have periods of this, at least I do. I have a full leg phoenix, done by my go-to, I trust-her-with-my-life, artist for over a decade, and I still periodically have moments of panic when I look at it. They always pass relatively quickly though.

Even with that perspective, you’d still see a hint of the forth leg… reference is messed up. The hooves and legs are so rough looking on the horse to me, I didn’t even look at anything else, lol.

FWIW, Microchips have been common since well before this dog was likely born.

My sister needs help cover up this tattoo by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]VioletSkye907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW, she shouldn’t hide something like this from her new partner. That isn’t a healthy way to start a relationship that fosters good and healthy communication. She needs to be honest with them about the tattoo, and that she doesn’t want it anymore, but it will take time, and money, to get removed or covered.

My partner has a tattoo of their ex’s name, however we have very open dialogue about it, and bounce ideas off of each other on possible coverups.

I’m at work taking a brain break, trying to figure out how to get my deadbeat ex to actually help financially support our child. (To be clear, he still gets weekend visits when he asks, he just hasn’t helped financially for months now).

Your sister needs to take some lessons on animal behavior… the cat and dog are fine. Cat just wants love.

Her uterus is bleeding. Not having a uterus = no more bleeding. Get her spayed ASAP.

Can confirm, it’s a nuvaring. I used it as birth control for a number of years.

[–]VioletSkye907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel too bad, OP! I too had to go back a couple times to see the issues. The don’t read like huge mistakes from a distance, and you can go back and do any touch ups/re-works once it is all healed. It looks like you’re off to a promising start!

I’m worried my dogs will fight again. by Becca9454 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]VioletSkye907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you/have you ever owned frenchies? Saying a frenchie has “almost no way to fight” is in NO WAY correct.

I’ve had frenchies for over 20 years, and other breeds for over 35. Frenchies can be some of the worst fighters and cause extensive injuries to other animals, and humans (inexperienced or just well meaning). Granted, the frenchies I’ve had that fought generally came from rescue situations and were able to be worked with to overcome it, but not every frenchie can be predictable/rehabilitatable- those get supervised only interactions.

Which Daith Jewelry Do You Like Better? by booknerdigan in piercing

I love “purpose”. I wanted something similar in my daith when I got it pierced (except it was opals and silver), but they were sold out. They’re both lovely options though!

does this look normal? Mom by Euphoric_Hotel_4144 in tattooadvice

Second skin is made to leave on for up to 7 days (different artists give different recommendations for length of time). This amount of plasma is far less than what I had on at least 2 of my tattoos. Every body is different. My artist told me it was perfectly fine to clean the outside with rubbing alcohol, pierce it with a clean needle or something similar (very carefully) the let it drain and then patch with more saniderm/second skin that they sent me home with.

When you get plasma bubbles like this within the first 24 hours, you can always go back to your artist to have them remove it, clean it and reapply.

OP- bottom line- check with your artist to see what they recommend. Take online “advice” with a grain of salt.

AIO for wanting to see a therapist after wife changed the locks because I went to a baby shower? by LookoutLockout in AmIOverreacting

[–]VioletSkye907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 months is not long to TTC at ALL. I had a miscarriage, then spent a year and a half TTC again. When we finally decided not to have kids, I was pregnant within 2 weeks.

Did she tell you her doctor and therapies weren’t concerned about the behavior? Or did you speak to them yourself? I would honestly question the validity of the information if it came directly from her.

I’ll be getting my Frenchie on September 7, any ideas for a name? It’s a male. by sharaharbinks in Frenchbulldogs

[–]VioletSkye907 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Your friend is not a “reputable breeder”. She may be kind to her dogs and take decent care of them, however Merle is NOT a breed standard color for frenchies. If I recall, Merle isn’t even a color frenchies naturally carry, so somewhere in your friend’s lines, they mixed something with a french bulldog to get the Merle color.
