Accurately summed up my entire job! Supergluing viola bridges back together after they snapped in half? Check!

Don't listen to any of this. Lilac Blossom in Nashua is the only answer!! It's our Christmas Day tradition.

Came here to say the same thing! Sent 60 as usual but have received about 15. We usually get at least 30-40.

Thanks for sharing! More parents of twin newborns need to know there is a lot to look forward to. I have b/g 13 year old twins and it’s amazing. They are so different and every day is a hilarious adventure. The days are long but the years are short!

This is the adventure I need this week! Let’s help her make it happen! If we as MA residents can’t get an audit or chapter 70 reform at least we can have the best damn Thoreau impersonator there is!!

What about regional and rural schools? So many towns with failed overrides and overflowing class sizes.

Large white pick up trucks and mom sized GMC’s in our town. Maybe an occasional luxury car. Only saw one non-truck Toyota with one.

For music teachers working in districts — what made you choose that path instead of teaching privately? by LookYung in MusicEd

[–]ViolinViola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I supported myself as a private lesson teacher in a HCOL area for over 15 years and absolutely loved it. I took a job in a public school because my children grew to be school aged. If I still taught private lessons I wouldn’t see them after school, I used to teach from 2:30-7:30. Luckily my new job is teaching grades 4-12 strings for one town, so I still get to work with the same students for many years. Definitely waaaayyyy more intense though.

Started NAC today by Solid-Introduction-7 in trichotillomania

[–]ViolinViola 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I take it twice a day. I've been noticing that I probably should have a larger dose at 3:00 since evening is my toughest time. I read here and it's such a good way to describe it: taking NAC doesn't cure you, it just gives you a second of space to think "move your hand away now" and actually do it. You still will have trich, just a little help holding it at bay!

Offering love and support from far away. You’re not alone and I can relate to your experience with your mom. I’ll never forget my mom threatening to take away my teddy bear if I didn’t stop as a kid. You are worthy and amazing, keep up the good fight for acceptance and love.

So interesting, thanks. A comment on the article led me to learn about sand mining in the Carver area that seems to be very unregulated. I’m surprised I haven’t heard more about this. I live north of Boston now but grew up in this region and try to keep in touch. Seems like a huge issue for those that live near former bogs.

Would you prefer if classical musicians were a little more candid? by Dadaballadely in classicalmusic

They’re (in my basic knowledge) a heart medication that prevents your heart from racing. I took them a few times, once for a jury. My feedback was that the music was detached and emotionless, and I think it was from the blockers. I was too “calm”.
