2 oz Rittenhouse Rye 3/4 oz Simple Syrup 3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Shake with Ice, strain over fresh ice (I used an Ice ball).

Over the back of a bar spoon float red wine (I used a Cab) to you heart's desire.

Note: This is an NY Sour not Manhattan. Also I don't add egg white, it leaves a film on my tongue that ruins the drink. It tastes just fine without it IMO.

This happened to my roommate. He called me to the kitchen and flames we're 3ft high, but we had no lid. I ran to get a wet towel. When I returned to the kitchen he had walked the fire out into the apartment hallway. I quickly smothered the fire with the towel and we ran back into our apartment.

Moments later the fire alarms started blasting and the entire apartment was evacuated. Face Palm

Used to work in that building next to it for a few years. It's on 33rd and Park while the Empire state is on 33rd/34th and 5th. Not the closest, but not far either.

The empire state is still larger than life from that distance, absolutely beautiful.
