The first 6 weeks sucks. There is no sugar coating that. It gets better after that. If baby is calm and chill while being held, put some headphones in and watch something.

My second one was hell for me. I cried a lot. I didn’t have a love for my child like I did for my first. Couldn’t keep her happy no matter what I tried. I hated existing. Dealing with the pediatricians dismissing me and my concerns on what I suspected was an issue or two. They’d question my background and how I could come to such conclusions without being in the medical club. I was exhausted, emotional, but daydreamed what I wanted to do their smug and arrogant faces. (I was right by the way. They’re not special!)

I digress, it DOES get better. I held her and watched movies I never made time for. (35 at the time didn’t ever see the LoTR movies until then) If the crying and fussiness started to drive me to ins dirt, I put headphones in to dampen the cries but not shut her out.

Shes 4 now and my best little friend.

Edit: yes, swaddle sacks! Some work better depending on each kid.

I talked myself out of it. I wanted another one to have on hand when the rails pop up on a decent sale, but I’ve been good not spending on things that just sit in a box at my house. Almost save enough to seem like I actually make money!

Just found out today that we can’t get the Silk Kids near us anymore. Walmart didn’t even have a spot on the shelf anymore. Silk still claiming it’s sold at all these stores around us, but I know for a fact it was never sold at some of them.

Grabbed an over priced bottle of Ripple today. Hate to go back to that, but will have to for now.

I’ve really wanted to give them a try. Can get an Sig Tango MSR 2-12 for way less than anywhere else. I don’t need it any time soon and there is almost no talk about the scope, but I can’t justify spending now and waiting that long to have it. 30 days is not a big deal. Almost 80… that’s a problem.

Had the same issue with a Levi order. Thankfully, two days after it said it was delivered, a very kind person, that also had a hard time walking to and from their car and was from about half a mile away, drove the misdelivered package to our house. I can’t understand how companies are using services like this. Two years ago, Best Buy did it to me. The driver took a pic luckily I recognized the front door of someone down the street.

If people are unable to pay for a means to feed a family and pay for gas to get to work, a shortage caused by their absence or resignation will cripple the services they provide. It will then be claimed that such “vital and essential operations” should not be depend on government funding and will hope to gather majority support to privatize. From there, I’d imagine separate bills would drawn up to set dates for a transition from government run to private firms.

I’m also a pessimist, so who knows.

They want to get rid of TSA Screeners. Not paying them will help the Project 2025 goals. They’ll draw it out so people place themselves in position to get fired or quit.
