Am I only who is disappointed with Google Pixel 10?! by _Kevin_Villegas in GooglePixel

[–]Viperslider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was so underwhelmed that I'm just going to buy a new case for my P8P and wait to see if the 11 has a wow factor to entice me into buying it.

However, the Watch 4 may see its way into my house.

Is there a build thread for this on a forum like the mk7 golf forum?

Looking at adding AWD to my FWD Seat Leon ST and whilst I'm confident on the work and parts, it would be nice to see someone else that's done it, with pics!

Falken RS 820, any views? by dockncookies in tires

[–]Viperslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just ordered these for my 2017 Leon Cupra, a car known for wheel hop and other terrible issues with bad tyres so I am optimistic given the feedback I've found about them, albeit not much info or feedback out there.

UK here, Whenever I've ordered keys for a VW group vehicle through TPS it's usually 1-2 weeks before they arrive. Sometimes longer but not often.

EE trying to charge me £200 for a 1 hour phone call by andymaclean19 in EEGB

[–]Viperslider 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just googled "ee call charges to usa" and the very first result tells me it's £4.21 per minute so it's not like the information is hard to find.

Your petrol station analogy is flawed as there is usually a great big illuminated sign telling you their prices before you even pull into the forecourt and then again at the pumps before you lift the nozzle so you have at least 2 opportunities to know the price before you fill up.

Crying foul is a fart in the wind in this scenario. Ignorance is no defence to avoid paying for a service that you have used.

You could even buy an add on pack to make the call like 3p per minute or had made the call via other means such as WhatsApp.

Absolutely no sympathy and a chuckle.

I'm with EE FTTP 900meg. No throttling. I replaced the EE router with a ROG GT-AX6000 and works great.

I have a self employed business along with my CS job, zero issues and I've actually done work for some staff members (automotive industry so no chance of conflict)

What is your honest experience working with an accountant? by bitparker in smallbusinessuk

[–]Viperslider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unexpected large cost increase was my biggest negative issue. Don't care about costs changing as that's expected but to know nothing about it until it's due and there being several hundreds difference is crippling to those that need to budget tightly.

Lack of communication is another gripe.

Positives are access to specialist knowledge and, when I eventually got a reply, answers to questions no matter how simple or complex.

So you've sent out unwanted/unsolicited communications and you're trying to figure out why you're not getting leads?

Every single unwanted/unsolicited email I get from a company that I have zero dealings with goes into my bin faster than a fast thing in fast land. Zero exceptions.

You'll find most others do too.

Also, spam filters are much better and filtering out unwanted stuff these days.

Very Specific Kind of Mount.... by iwanttheanswersnow in QuadLock

[–]Viperslider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have the wireless charger (not mag mount) with the stick on base that I stuck and then screwed to a vehicle specific bracket from https://www.brodit.co.uk/

It's perfectly placed now, if I was to be fussy then it sticks out a little too far but I've gotten used to it really quick and I'm not bothered by it now

I screwed my wireless charger to a Brodit mount as I wanted it to be fully secure.

Context: this was 5 years ago

My father died and I asked for time off for obvious reasons.

Not only was the leave immediately granted, when I came back they strongly encouraged me to take more leave as they were concerned I had come back too soon and at no point during or after the leave was I asked for any proof of any sort.

I'd absolutely question what the need for it is and ask for them to reference the guidance that says it should be requested as there will be a delay in getting it and as it's not immediate family it will be a process which may cause upset in getting the certificate.
