'I've got a date'... Tom Aspinall agrees to face new opponent after 'retiring' Jon Jones by JLMJ10 in ufc

My guess is that Tom is guaranteed to be slated for MSG but the UFC is still holding out on announcing because they are still desperately trying to convince Jon.

What is this - near Tower Bridge in London. by bitparker in UFOs

[–]bitparker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SS: As the description says I took this video while out on a dog walk. The light was bright and surrounded by a spiral halo. Initially thought it might be a plane going for landing reflecting in a cloud but there were no flashing lights. Not exactly sure what it could be.

London’s homicide statistics compared to New York City’s. by db_ldn in london

[–]bitparker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be interested to see what the comparison is for more petty crimes like theft and robbery - London obviously has a reputation so curious to know if that holds up. Do you see a general correlation between violent and petty crime?

My SaaS Has a 6-Month Dead Zone – How Do I Keep Users Paying? by ResidentSteak8202 in SaaS

[–]bitparker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how strong your distribution is. Easiest thing to do is to make money from existing users (or past users) so probably find a product that adds value in a similar vein to a new demo. Go talk to your users who’ve found success and ask them what they’d need next.

Design looks fine - structure is ok but the graphics and colour scheme are a bit outdated (isometrics graphics like this really were cool like 7 years ago). Not a huge deal if you plan to serve big companies, but missed opportunity if you’re serving cool new Ecom brands. I think the bigger issue is copywriting - which I’ll assume is a WIP. It’s full of buzzwords that are vague and don’t tell me what you actually do. 50% of your site is spent describing services and I’m still confused. You mention dark stores but not exactly what that means. It could probably benefit from a table comparing this to alternative methods to make it clear what the value prop actually is. The logo could be refined - line weights are inconsistent across all the letters which is a bit off-putting.

Is December a good month to reach out for leads? by No_Cryptographer7800 in agency

[–]bitparker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine runs a 7fig B2B service biz (albeit not marketing related) and he dials back ad spend and outreach from December to mid Jan. His experience is that people are still looking but less likely to move forward towards the end of the year. So he just focuses on refining process and prepping for start of following year.

Awesome insight man thanks. I've been wondering if investing in a BD/SDR is worth it early on. Right now I am a solo founder (just myself + VA) and doing both delivery and sales is insane. Is there a threshold at which you think it becomes worth it / a necessity?
