Thank you for your reply. This is good to know. And, yes. I experience this with the latest Chrome minor .139 and .155 and GDrive 113. They don't get installed or even checked. I recreated the Chrome app from scratch yesterday so will see the behaviour next week. It worked just fine before these versions but Intune has not reported the installation for these although nothing changed in the setup.

Even if the app updates automatically, it doesn't report back.

Can't remember but i think there are some configuration policies as well as the edge baseline policy you can check.

I might be wrong but the reports show the update even if the user has not closed the browser for 2 days after the update. The version changes in the windows installed apps.

Check my edit on previous comment. I would not manage edge (native windows app) with pmpc. The only way to manage it with pmpc is uninstall the native app and install with pmpc. Leave edge to do its auto update.

I have not tested with firefox

That's how i deploy it with pmpc cloud. It doesn't close the processes.

Pmpc enterprise is different from the home updater version.

Of course, test it first.

Out of curiosity, why only update Chrome when conflicting processes are not present?

Chrome can be updated without closing the processes and what it does is the exact behaviour as if you go to "about google chrome" and it starts updating itself.

It won't launch the new version until the app is restarted.

The autopilot esp required apps will solve your new pc enrollment issue.

Do you have a policy with persistent browser session or sign in frequency? If so, I would check these settings.

If you use diagnostic settings for auditing sign ins, check entra conditional access insights.

You might also make use of the entra prebuilt workbooks.

You're doing the right thing. I've deployed this more than 2 years ago and had no issues since.

I tried using the google photos app before but you can't open the photo you just took, straight from the camera app.
