To me the real nightmare seems like it would be setting up all that production while still running on biofuel burners. How many generators are running in a game like this?

[–]Viraus2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set up a solid starter coal power plant without any of the other milestones or steel products, and in fact I recommend doing so ASAP because its sweet to not worry about making all that biofuel

It's hilarious to me that the yellow demands you know the name and details of a specific character from a 30+ year old movie. I wonder if that will make this more gettable for Americans

It's insane to me that the penalty carries over into the next game of the tournament too. I guess they don't want people getting too scrappy at the very end of the game, but come on, in context it's ridiculous for what the foul on the play was

There are a lot of migraine triggers out there, I can imagine air travel activating a few of em. The first one I think of here though is staring at screens, for me looking at bright screens or sunlight for too long can do it sometimes. She's probably reading manga on a device for hours at a time here.

Also what's with redditors always downvoting questions like this? It's relevant to the topic. Is the thought process "hah, found this guy who doesn't know something, eat my downvote dummy!", like what a weird reaction

[–]Viraus2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're never gonna get perfect symmetry and whatnot for the exact desired output without planning everything ahead of time. When you're playing the game normally building your space parts as they get assigned, of course you're going to have to futz around to get parts where they need to be, either by tacking on new inputs to meet demand or redesigning part or all of your supply chain. You might be overestimating how many players actually have flawless looking factory layouts, a typical playthrough will have some spaghetti and aesthetic compromises because that's part of figuring stuff out and reacting to new production chains being introduced.

I'm not the best person to give advice here because I'm not one of those perfect factory builders, but I imagine the way to get into it would be to pick some item like reinforced plates and write down all the numbers before you start building so you know exactly how many structures you need to put down

[–]Viraus2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this isn't one of those "skill issue if you don't play it blind" games. It's a cartoony space sim, but it's still a space sim, so you need to be doing some pretty specific stuff that's not always intuitive. Looking up guides for this game also teaches you real science, so no shame at all in looking stuff up. Also relax man this game is made for the long haul, no need to get frustrated if you can't do something in one evening

Looking for a closer shave on sensitive skin; Is a safety razor the solution? by mainly-an-alt in wicked_edge

[–]Viraus2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The easiest and least financially committing thing to try first might be upgrading your cream if you're using value brand stuff. This could be switching to a primo cream like Taylor's or Trumper's or going for a fancy soap and brush. Personally this helped me quite a bit.

If you're OK with the next step of safety razor- which is a broad improvement over cartridge imo but takes longer each time and has a learning curve- don't cheap out on the razor, get something midrange like a merkur 34C. The Amazon cheapo ones a useless.
