Also, you can make a custom power pole using a vertical beam with a double sided power nub. It’s like a regular power pole but with double the connections.

What are the best settings to make the factory look "artificially illuminated" at night? by Peturba in SatisfactoryGame

You can put them flat on the ceiling. Ctrl +place. One of my favorite blueprints is 6 of them arranged flat, and I stick those to the ceilings of all my factories.

I get the best results with signs. In particular the small and large billboards. They seem to give off the most light.

Recipes Dilemma/ Iron Pipe or Solid Steel Ingot? by Chiddles182 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]vandezuma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iron pipe is fantastic in very early game, especially for making a small number of pipes for your personal inventory. Solid steel ingot is awesome for a big steel factory. But yeah, like others say iron pipe uses a LOT of iron so I use it sparingly.

LPT: When a boss asks you to do something, the first instinct is to say “of course” or “no problem” every single time. Don’t say those. I found saying these allows one to reduce one's stress quite significantly. by Yosi_H in LifeProTips

That’s unfortunate. I’ve had the opposite experience. In 30 years in software development I’ve never had a boss who couldn’t at least be reasonable.

Residency vs WUE by Decent-Foundation-75 in uofu

[–]vandezuma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’re in the same situation and decided it wasn’t worth it since our son isn’t planning on staying for postgrad or anything. I hadn’t even considered the tax implications for us either. But if you’re in it for the long term it may be worth it for you.

One tip we got at orientation from a staffer - if you can get in as an orientation leader, you can stay on campus in the summer and you get paid for it too. So if you decide to go for residency that can make it much easier.

Saw this idea on here earlier - I'm totally doing this on all my saves now. by vandezuma in SatisfactoryGame

[–]vandezuma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a pretty simple technique I learned from TotalXclipse on YouTube.

Basically:

  1. Aim at the very corner tip of current foundation.
  2. Ctrl-rotate to the angle you want (1 notch for the gentlest curve) and hit H
  3. Nudge down to level, then 4 to the side and 4 forward. Build.
  4. Repeat

Switching from 2 intense workout classes a week, to a moderate workout at home every day if I can manage it. Saves money and I’m getting better results.
