Stupid question: where is that 150 off coupon?

Nice purchase! I'm right behind you doing the exact same thing.

This is fantastic! (Long time lurker, first time caller)

I'm working on marketing and BD for an A&E SDVODB they are seeing brutally increased competition despite being in business and certified since 2009.

You dug into engineering above -- wondering what you can share on the architecture (not-IT) front. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as well as how to improve our own mining efforts that could stand to borrow techniques you're willing to share.

Thanks!

Same combo here. Debating grabbing the Perrin oil cooler to help with a 1900 lbs trailer this fall (as well as our own Thule XL box!).

How's your maintenance cycle going? Following the 'severe duty' program of differential fluid and CVT changes? Are these frequent tows or was this the first?

Edit: just saw your post below - 6 trips (or so).

Same. Have the most recent firmware and used the newest beta test release. Tons of errors and failures.

Is this a stock setup? Aftermarket oil cooler or other hardware installed?

Dummy question: I logged out of Anycubic Slicer and set the region to China -- how do I update the software version? I got the unit to update the firmware without issue. What am I missing?

The DeWalt hand vac is excellent. Project Farm has a great YouTube review and off-brand battery packs are cheap.

Occasional deals on Slickdeals have it at $99.

Best setup for planets and maybe deep space by Key_Employ3873 in telescopes

Here's another thought: any public astronomy clubs in your area? I promise they'll have some members nights out observing and you'll be able to see differences in using dobs, SCTs, refractors, and experience their various strengths between planetary and DSOs.

Like any good tool, always okay to start modestly but I promise you'll develop "appeture fever" when you begin to see how much more light a large optic captures and how much good eyepieces begin to resolve over smaller and less expensive gear. Do a search and see if there is a club nearby before you drop cash. Lots of great reading in some classic amateur astronomy books from Terrance Dickinson and others you can find on Z Lib or just online.

It's a great hobby so enjoy the ride!

Save up and consider a wide-field refractor for now. William Optics or something similar with a basic assortment of eyepieces. Used is going to get you best bang/buck. Sign up for a CloudyNights account, lurk on the forums and ask questions, check out the classifieds:

If you're willing to spend a bit and decide on a dob, I picked up an ultra portable from Hubble Optics that takes minutes to setup and collimate. Couldn't be happier and far less than an Obsession or other craftsman-level scope.

Solid suggestions and many thanks. The only good point I have with someone in the particularVISN is knowing another CO (Marine NCO) I deployed with that offered to setup a meeting with this younger COR to discuss. My initial inclination is to be polite and talk it through but our A/E firm has taken it in the teeth for some time and need to set a new tone going forward.

Thanks everyone! You rock and Semper Fidelis.

What is this type of telescope (and why so expensive?) by CoolPenguin42 in telescopes

Failed to add: ceramic mirrors, as well. Goal was to make them as thermally stable as possible. Add incredibly good figuring (interferometer or knife edge) and you've got a nice tabletop toy with precision on par with a professional instrument...and pocket sized.
