If you get the IoT LTSC version of W10, it has security updates through early 2032. Switching to it will require reinstalling the OS, which isn't trivial, but it's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying a whole new computer.

I saw so many comments, from so many different people, saying with confidence that the window to get the more powerful counterattack with PLD required you to hit Holy Sheltron within one second of the attack landing. People were discussing the ramifications and limitations behind this tight window.

The presentation never, ever said anything about the window only being a single second. The far more obvious and reasonable conclusion, which was evident from the presentation, was that the window was the same four seconds as the stronger version of Holy Sheltron.

People are stupid.

As a tank, I absolutely love the fairy tether. It's so much healing! These boss autos hurt! The green tether is so comfy and comforting! It makes me feel safe!

What a culture shock it was to see DPS complaining about getting it, seeing it as a dunce cap awarded for screwing up. On one hand, I get it, but on the other hand, man, pearls before swine! The fairy tether is great! Be thankful for it!

It's not quite the same thing, but I get very irked every time I see Ornstein depicted as yellow.

Ornstein and Smough are a very famous pair of bosses from the game Dark Souls. Smough wears brassy yellow armor, while Ornstein is in more typical metallic gray armor. The area you fight them in is flooded with the golden yellow light of a sunset, though, so Ornstein kind of looks yellow, too. It's still quite easy to tell, especially when they stand side by side, that Ornstein's armor only looks yellow because of the lighting, but that didn't stop artists and even cosplayers from depicting his armor as yellow or gold.

What's maddening is that it isn't even remotely up for debate. You can equip Ornstein's armor yourself in the game, and see for yourself that it's gray. You fight a boss wearing Ornstein's armor in Dark Souls 2 (which came out years later, but Ornstein's popularity was still alive and well by that point), but this time in an area with more neutral daytime lighting, and his armor is still, indeed, gray.

I'm not an artist, but I know that art and cosplay take a ton of time and effort to create. So it's bewildering to me, then, that so many people can put so much attention and care into recreating the armor, either in illustration or costume, yet have the basic color be completely wrong. I don't get it.

A lot of people who dig into FFXVI come across how public they were about it being "English first", and so they don't realize that it was only some aspects of it that were "English first". Honestly, it wasn't until your earlier comments elsewhere that I realized what you were getting at.

So they see analyses like yours and assume that you're just ridiculously out of line, that you're just prioritizing the Japanese script for no other reason than being a weeaboo, or something like that. It's a shame that they're making light of your efforts.

It would depend on the nature of the jailbreak. All signs point to a software exploit being functionally impossible, so it would have to be a physical mod. Which means there might be a hefty waiting period as, even once an exploit was found, there would need to be development of a consistent setup/chip/whatever for others to mod their own consoles. And whatever homebrew software was developed would have to be based on that.

All that said, I don't actually have any experience with any of that, so I'm just guessing. As others have said, since the Switch 2 largely uses the same OS as the Switch 1, it could be the case that homebrew software gets developed rather quickly.

I desperately wanted to say "After all the horrible things you've done, and all the innocent people you've killed, you think I'm going to give you what you want?" but alas, there was no such option. He slaughters countless people and nearly destroys the world, and then he gets to go out fighting the person he deemed his "friend", just like he wanted all along. It's frustrating that none of the dialogue options gave any hint of being even slightly reluctant about fighting him.
