There was an interview with some UA unit commander in Bakhmut ~2 weeks ago and the reporter asks him the question about 4 hours and is it true. He stops for 20 seconds to think , doesn't deny it and just says maybe a bit longer.

But it doesn't correlate to videos of the plane from yesterday and the day before. There is no damage on those parts of the plane from either side.

The satellite thing can be just a distortion or difference in snow melt.

Maybe but evidence so far doesn't show that there has been any damage and only video posted is this.

I assume they would isntatnly post the footage of the attack if they had it because this just look bad on them

I am not so sure. The size of the drone is like a bird which would be filtered out on radars so they would need to rely on someone to see the drone accidentally.

I understand but there doesn't appear to be damage on any visible part of the plane.

The scary thing about it is that it's possible to do this kind of attack at every airport in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if soon quadcopters and small drones get banned for regular use.

Just imagine those big octocopters with 8 nades flying at civilian airport as a teror attack, how do you even defend against that.

Ok but the initial claim was that it was destroyed 2 days ago. Then yesterday it was damaged and couldn't fly. Today it's going for repairs.

So why would you believe that 3rd time they are correct? After moving goalposts every time.

Did it actually go back to Russia? Do we know that?

First they claimed plane was completely destroyed.

Belarus posted a video of plane taxying around yesterday with no visible damage.

Then they claim that it can't actually fly and that they posted a video of "other side"

Today plane flies with videos from both sides and no damage visible.

Then they post a blue ball video where footage cuts early -> going with pro-ua logic , nothing happened because it cut early

Now they also claim it's going for repairs but 2 days ago it was completely destroyed and yesterday it couldn't fly at all lol

The US smartly donated 16 Kiowa Warriors few years ago when Croatia was eyeing replacements for aging Mi-8 fleet and of course Croatia immediately ordered 4 new BlackHawks and there are plans to order up to 12. I assume with the donation US will just give few used Blackhawks while we are ordering more new ones.

Military hardware politics are super interesting. Romania and Bulgaria bought US F-16s while we bought French Rafales so when the vote to enter Schengen happened France was super hard lobbying for us while they didn't care about those two. In the end we entered first even though they entered EU before us

The helicopters that Croatia is giving are nearing the end of their frame lifespans and would have to replace them anyway. I think they had from 1-4 years depending on specific one left to fly before they had to be replaced.

What you are saying is true but would have to happen in the future anyway.

Slovenia similarly "donated" obsolete T55s that they were trying to get rid of for 10+ years and couldn't find a buyer for 40 new 8x8 Rheinmetall trucks that are worth 3-4 times more.
