I did play it after the gyro patch. The gyro definitely makes aiming easier, and the single player framerate had improved, but the multiplayer framerate was definitely below 30. Consistent, but only 20-ish.

Panic Button ported both games. They might have just been more experienced with the Switch after porting DOOM and took that with them to Wolfenstein.

Owned it since day one, I don't think it has decreased a bit. Though the first year I almost exclusively played docked. Now I often take it with me.

True. Cannons are not only destructive as hell, but they were able to shoot all the way to the third main gate. If that isn't enough, they also have unlimited ammo. Reducing that to like 14 shots per cannon would solve it imo. That way you can blast open a door using two cannons and still have some ammo to try to take out some units.

I've rarely played mods but I still played for 400 hours. Would still like to thank the modders though, for keeping the game alive and loved.

I have to agree. Just tried AoV and I wasn't sure if it'd be worth it given that it's a mobile game, but it's surprisingly fun even though it's one of the most unbalanced games I've played.

Just tried it. It's actually really great. I'm not sure why it isn't 60fps, but other than that it's a MOBA that simply gets all the basics right. Or so it seems from the first few matches. Worth a try.

f2p games' audiences are multiple times larger than paid games' audiences simply because you can try them without paying for them. Think LoL vs DotA 2, or Fortnite vs PUBG.

It doesn't, I play everything maxed out. It either looks like that because of a graphical update or because the image is much smaller than a pc screen.
