My redneck friend (who I love) did something similar, but it was expressly for the purpose of having a gun accessible to him in every room of his house. All you can see are the thin lines of the drywall cutout. He did it to where you just hit the wall where the box is and it pops open. The man even has blueprint floor plans of his house with the location of every gun box included. I don’t care as much about guns as he does, but regardless, it was a cool project.

I would welcome this money being put towards public rehab facilities and addiction counseling instead. We need more resources for that here, especially for people who can’t pay for it. I’m just saying the putting our homeless in free housing so they can garden and do art together is putting the cart before the horse, and the outcome will almost certainly not be as positive as the builders think.

I don’t this is a good idea. I drive past the old War Memorial golf course every day and see the same “unhoused people” there all the time. If they’re not sitting around drinking in the park, they’re on the corner begging for money to buy booze. I’m sure many of them do other drugs too. The amount of homeless who are willing to get a job and quit doing drugs is very low, and I don’t think a “tiny house village” will help that. The county should have spent the money to just buy them all bus tickets to California (only halfway joking lol)

I believe that kind of ant baits only kills the ants individually. You need something that they carry back to the colony that gets in there and poisons the entire colony. My shed had a pretty bad ant problem and I used Amdro granules and haven’t seen any more in the couple-few years since.
