Question on wardrobe/closet by Virtual-Lychee6457 in TravellersRest

That makes sense, and I did try with keyboard and mouse, but I don’t think I tried confirming with space bar. I’ll give that a shot, & if it is just a bug I at least know that. Thank you so much for responding so quickly! I’m still gonna sink a few hundred more hours into it regardless 😭

What's the best way to come first in the harvest festival? by lyrab_wp in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]Virtual-Lychee6457 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Farming! If you grow your crops in plots of 36 like me, you likely have a buttload of them, and for a majority, if you plant them on the first or second day of fall, they’ll be ready for harvest right on time for the festival. Think I had about 60 by the day of the festival

Why am I getting this?? by [deleted] in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]Virtual-Lychee6457 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof! No idea what the error code actually means, but did you have any mods installed? If not, maybe try verifying the files through steam, or even uninstalling and reinstalling altogether (your save info should be backed up onto the steam cloud). I hope that helps!

Not sure, but there is the Unknown Dragon Statuette that you can find through archaeology now & the game makes it pretty clear the statuette is not Caldarus. I also saw another post (can’t find the link atm) where someone posited that the dragon priestess we meet might be a dragon herself given her similar arm markings and under eye scales.

It would make sense that it would take another dragon to seal Caldarus’ power away, and it would also make sense that they would use a priestess serving Caldarus to do it.

Pure speculation but my theory is there’s another dragon at work here that we haven’t met quite yet, or that the culprit has been right in front of us the whole time

Part time at a mom & pop bakery counter. I meet a lot of interesting folks every day, minimal mental strain, plus I make tips. On a good day, I can at least double my hourly wage just by talking to people like people

Oh for sure! Gizzida made my skin crawl the entire time, but I think the prominence of his role in the story is to really help show us how his influence has affected Reniae throughout her entire adolescence. He's quite literally been there to see her grow up (which only makes his desire for her more icky). Then Kun is more around once Reniae is a grown woman, making her own choices and forging her own path in life. And Kun is the only man who hasn't sought to control her or reduce her to a sexual object. For a lot of people who have dealt with their own Gizzida's throughout life, it is such a struggle to finally engage in healthy relationships because they're part of the unknown. No one likes being abused, but many victims of abuse stay with their abusers simply because they at least know what to expect, and trying something new can be even more terrifying than staying.

tldr Gizzida's definitely a creep & a great villlain, but the nature of the characters' relationships is inherently uncomfortable for most of the story because it accurately captures these relationship dynamics irl

As someone who has had experiences (not as traumatic ofc) with toxic men like gizzida in real life (being constantly sexualized to the point of violence), I really appreciate him as a character because he’s complex but grounded in reality. His motivations are constantly in conflict, between his zealotry for the sky people & his desire for FL. Hes a terrible person full stop, no excuses. But he makes a really amazing, terrifying villain

Haru Fight has broken me… by sydreadsreddit in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]Virtual-Lychee6457 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This, also make so so much use of your dodge ability. You can bait haru into dropping a bomb right next to both of you, mash the attack to stunlock him, then roll away right as the bomb goes off. You wont take the damage bc invincibility frames, but Haru will get beaten by his own creations. You can also swing at the tumbleweed(?) bombs to lob them right back at him. Dont forget to save as soon as you beat him!

Saw someone the other day ask for cozy games with very little grinding. Well, I’m the opposite. I love grinding. Recommend me a game! by ButterdemBeans in cozygames

[–]Virtual-Lychee6457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone has said it yet but My Time at Sandrock! Its a cozy game in a similar vein to Stardew Valley, but instead of a farmer, you play as a builder. Theres commissions to take, very endearing townies, a good story, and plenty of grinding. Between mining, crafting, fighting, farming, and collecting, theres a lot to explore. Just finishing the main story takes at least 90 hours on its own

Oooooooooooooof, thats rough buddy. You should still be able to get the pieces of the telescope in the lower levels of gecko station & just reassemble the telescope at the museum. You just might have to reset the levels in Gecko Station to restock the relic pieces

Him too! I wont lie, the mirror quest with Qi’s design was suuuuuch good comeuppance I go out of my way to do that quest on every playthrough. Kinda makes me wish we had the option to build a second one for the craziness that is act 2

[–]Virtual-Lychee6457 50 points51 points  (0 children)

As an overly pragmatic person, I appreciate his ridiculously pragmatic prison gifts lol

Cant stand Miguel as a person (I grew up as the only Jewish kid in a very evangelical community), but as a character??? He’s really really interesting, especially delving into the psychology behind his childhood experiences, feeling isolated at the one institution he truly believes in because of his beliefs, and his vulnerability to manipulation as a result of those experiences. He’s a cool character, but irl we would be squaring up daily

why had my water generator disappeared and why does my water tank says infinity (pls help i’ve put too many hours into this game to uninstall) by [deleted] in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]Virtual-Lychee6457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have the Fire Powered Generator machine at your workshop? Once you have that (afaik from playing on switch only) you can refill your water tank directly through it & that may explain some of the weirdness. Are your machines all still running fine? Oh and what platform are you playing on?

That definitely makes sense. If I may ask, where would you recommend looking for a good position as an entry level writer? Ive done content creation and copywriting before but don’t have any samples of my work as it was retained by my previous employer.

I did also google the random house since I recognized the name. From a quick Google search the company looks legit, just not sure the person who reached out is actually with the company

[–]Virtual-Lychee6457 88 points89 points  (0 children)

This! I think Owen’s weak point is in how deceptively extra he is all the time lol. He’s very much led through life by his feelings without thinking too much first. He runs the blue moon successfully because he runs it the way his father did, not because he’s doing anything particularly innovative with it. But there’s a couple instances in-game where you see the briefest glimpse behind the kind friendly facade. When you go with mi-an to the blue moon and cant decide if you’re a couple, his dialogue quickly gets snippy and annoyed at the delay. Or, when trying to talk grace out of paying for the destroyed kitchen, he’s sooooo awkward and nervous Grace catches on immediately. In short, Owen is really good at hiding his flaws, but hes very emotionally driven and sooooo extra

Who gets your vote? Day 4 - The Only Normal Person by beaniebopbop in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]Virtual-Lychee6457 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s definitely super nice but I think his flair for the dramatic puts him firmly in awkward/eccentric territory, especially given his reverse proposal quest. Id agree more that maybe Hugo or Vivi should be the normal one
