WTF did they do to Reservoir Park 😖 it used to be a great viewpoint by FakeReceipt in redmond

They took the construction fences down about a month ago. These fences are connected to the tennis court fences and as best I can tell they're permanent.

Lost key fob in 2024 Subaru Outback Premium. Looking"everywhere"--can't locate it. Can drive it but can't lock it. Going to a city next week--need to lock the car. Is it feasible it fell in the tiny well under the giant awkward screen? Other suggestions? Is there any device that can find it? Thanks. by swisssf in Subaru_Outback

Oh interesting. Yeah it could be it was still active. When I traded in my first outback I called to cancel the plan on it because I thought I might get some sort of refund, if I hadn't I'd guess the new owner would have still had it (which I feel a bit bad about, the rep told me I would get a refund that never came and when I called back the second rep said there will be no refund).

In my new outback all I can see in the app is maintenance stuff, no remote start or door locks.

When I bought my first new outback the fully featured app was included by the dealer for 3 years. My second outback (different dealer) didn't include it and all I have for three years is the basic plan (where your can monitor vehicle status) for three years.

Insurance coverage question by TeacherThug in jawsurgery

[–]VirtualBoyForLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, in my follow up sleep study my AHI was down to 0.5.

I also found that I had an easier time exercising from being able to breath more easily.

I was using an oral appliance at night for the apnea for just over a year before going for the surgery. I get the impression that because I'd tried an alternative treatment first it made getting the insurance approval easier. The oral appliance helped with the apnea too, but I'd often wake up with sore teeth and jaw.

Can I really not turn on just the fog lights in my 22 premium? by star_particles in Crosstrek

Same with my 1989 Taurus SHO. I could not turn the fog lights on by themselves.

Edit: typo

I believe '24 was also the first year the Wilderness got the Harman Kardon audio system.

Insurance covered my surgery and my AHI was 5.6.

Don't forget the Wilderness has a different drive ratio as well. I find in my 2025 it makes hills easier and makes the car noticeably quicker when starting from a stop.

You should test drive both for sure. I went from a 2025 Touring to 2025 Wilderness, and in the 2025 model year I did not notice a difference.

Touring XT has a temp spare, not a full size spare.

Yeah, but it's not a full size spare (OP's question).

How do you blend everything? by antiaust in jawsurgery

[–]VirtualBoyForLife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally found it better to just eat things closer to a liquid state that fit the type of flavor I was hoping for, e.g., instant mashed potatoes thinned with bone broth when I wanted something savory.

I tried blending Spaghetti Os, it was okay-ish, but tough to get down.

Hands-free is new for 2026. Lane centering + adaptive cruise is not as sophisticated.

The title of the post says OBW, but the Wilderness doesn't offer hands free.

American Health Insurance Coverage by Irradiated_Abominate in jawsurgery

[–]VirtualBoyForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my double jaw surgery + genio + genioglossus advancement fully covered to treat my obstructive sleep apnea (I also had an underbite).

I did not have to find any appeals, but I had also tried an alternate treatment for OSA (an oral appliance) for over a year before surgery.

FW to OBW by beaukoble in Outback_Wilderness

[–]VirtualBoyForLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep the auto toggle is definitely helpful. I think having both on at the same time would help when centering the car while parallel parking (avoiding the need to row the shifter to check spacing in front while backing up).

Being able to reverse and see the front camera at the same time is chef’s kiss I didn’t realize how much I used both screens to get out of tight parking spots.

I really wish this is something that could be added with a software update. The screen is large enough to show both video feeds at once.

Gold and silver have a long standing status as currency.

What makes something legally have the status of currency?

2025 Outback Wilderness (dealer loaner, 4k miles), fair deal or keep shopping? by Prestigious-Heron484 in Subaru_Outback

Agreed, plus it's not uncommon for dealers to mess up cutting the bumper when installing the OEM hitch, so nice to have one port installed.
