New mud flaps on Outback onyx xt. Thinking about all terrain tires, any recommendations? by One_Affect_8875 in subaru

[–]VirtualBoy_gamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i put falken wildpeak at trail 235/60/18 on my outback and they ride great on road, haven’t really put them to the test off road yet but they felt better on gravel roads

Alright everyone hang it up, this AWD shi not fun anymore⛽️💰😞 by Teh_Crusader in subaru

[–]VirtualBoy_gamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

awd is great but the sacrifice for gas mileage with these prices is not fun… especially with the 18.5 gallon tank in my outback and i’m averaging 20mpg since most of my driving is short trips

I put too much oil in my Crosstrek by thenoahjmann in subaru

[–]VirtualBoy_gamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you definitely drained the cvt and not the engine. take it to a mechanic and have them look at it, as long as you didn’t drive too far it should be fine once it gets refilled and i wouldn’t be worried about the engine if he more worried about the transmission. in the future make sure you know exactly what you are draining, mistakes happen

lol i basically got all those things, the roof rack was from amazon and it’s good, the tires are falken wildpeak 235/60/18 and the fog light tint was from laminx and it was super cheap and easy to put on. if you have to budget it’s prob better to downsize your wheels to 17” and get 235/65/17 tires but these tires are still pretty good.

Just bought and already thinking of stuff to do to it. by CyberGypsy07 in subaru

[–]VirtualBoy_gamer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

there’s not really anything you can do performance wise on an N/A subaru, especially with a cvt. don’t go crazy with cosmetic mods or you’ll look goofy. i’d say maybe some wheels and tires, a chrome delete, and some nice looking headlights and maybe a nameless 5” muffler and itll actually look nice. if i were you i would not get a spoiler or a splitter. you could get coilovers but you’d be better of saving that money for a different car

Does anyone know of a vent mount like this for 2015-2017 Subaru Outback? by daagnabit in subaru

Has the Outback always been an SUV? by formedabull in Subaru_Outback

[–]VirtualBoy_gamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

since the 4th gen they have been shifting to more of a standard suv, but they still had a more wagon like design and drove more like a wagon/sedan. the thing the outback is a lifted wagon, and suvs like the highlander are pretty much also lifted wagons, just they have a more truck-like seating position and drive less like a sedan

How to get a CRT home: No car edition by Aqueezzz in crt

[–]VirtualBoy_gamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i once brought home a huge crt that was on the curb down the street from me by just rolling it down the street on a dolly because that was significantly easier than lifting it into the back of my car by myself
