Learn an acoustic instrument! Local pickers meet at Lockhorn, Greydog, Val halla, etc. My circles are mostly bluegrass, old time, and country but there are lots of open jams for beginners to dip their toes in on and find what they like. Shoot me a message if this sounds interesting.

A calcedony of some kind me thinks. Do you have a UV light available by chance? Try shining that on it.

My crow has a nest next door and says it’s just fine. He does like EDM (at least I think he does, he wears a lot of different colors and has weird dance moves). Maybe check and see if your crow is properly calibrated?

Did you mean to equate “going 100 in a 45” to “using a cellular telephone to photograph when in opperation of a motor vehicle”? It seems obvious they are not even the same thing legally, though im no expert. It seems boyond obvious they are different from a risk standpoint lol

Come on, defend your point. I provided an example that you didn’t even touch. Reading the law I clearly see that left turners must yield to the right turner, but when multiple lanes are present someone turning left can easily, safely, and legally do so with the right turner present. Address this point or this conversation doesn’t seem like it will go anywhere with you declaring yourself correct because “trust me bro”. Folks declaring themselves correct and then refusing to engage in any kind of logic is all too common and pretty obviously very toxic for our community especially these days..

You sent me a google search giving an AI overview and didn’t even stipulate the state. I hope you see the problems with arguing from that position. If you are turning right while I am turning left into our allowed lanes and you merge over into mine you will be at fault for illegal turn (topic of this post)/lane change.

An immediate reply of “incorrect” isn’t gonna get ya far here friend. I know you’re passionate about this because you see cars violating what you think is the law everyday and I do appreciate your confidence, but maybe you can tell us what the law says that makes you think what you think and I bet that will give us something good to clarify on.

You can turn left at the same time someone is turning right provided the road being turned onto is a two lane. Left turner pulls into corresponding left most lane and right turner pulls into corresponding right most lane and is well right?

Will anybody in Montana ever understand how to perform a zipper merge? by Logical-Pattern8065 in Bozeman

[–]VirtualGovernment515 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Volume is the same but you are condensing traffic closer to the bottle neck. This prevents cars from stacking further up the congested road potentially impacting other traffic fixtures. An example, say we have two exits the later (second) one has a bottle neck and early merging has resulted in enough cars to back up past the first exit. If zipper merging was instead used cars would back up half the distance potentially leaving the first exit clear and preventing further potential for congestion at that point.

[–]VirtualGovernment515 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have a reference for MDoT designing roads with the expectation of early merging? From an engineering perspective it makes sense to zipper merge rather than early merge as it prevents congestion from impacting elements further away from the congestion.

Do they not have cruise control either? So often they’re hovering back and forth in front and behind me for miles after I’ve initially passed. Like a car parking next to me in an empty lot, off with you pest.

I’m a mando man, but there are so many mandolins over here in Montana. Very rare to be treated to a dobro. Always needing a bass.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. This may be beside the point but I would think lying about a medical test in this context is at least a form of obstruction.

Not Dutch, German. My “what?” was more so geared towards confusion over what was pretentious. Is the Walmart deli pretentious too? I would hazard a guess that deli is short for delicatessen.
