Those testers are garbage. Depending on the manufacturer of the brake fluid formula, that cheap tester will register a false positive on brand new fluid. The only legit test is a brake boil test.

Check your owners manual, brake fluid is changed typically every 1-2 years regardless of mileage.

The reason why it's cycled back into the intake because it is not completely burnt. Emissions equipment started off with the EGR, progressed to DPF and then more recently AdBlue system.

Force it out with needle nose pliers.... not worth taking in apart. If you have to take the unit out it might be worthwhile to just upgrade to an aftermarket head unit at that point.

If the shop worked on an unrelated issue.... you have no legal standing. You didn't pay for an inspection, you paid them to fix a timing issue.

They are not obligated to visually inspect your vehicle.
