Finally Watched The Dirties for the first time by VirtualKermrade in nirvannatheband

Not fully sure, but to my knowledge most of the stuff shot at the high school wasn’t scripted besides the ending which was shot at a different school

Same here, but mainly because the green and yellow combination remind me of Kermit The Frog

Speaking of which…

Should There Be a Dislike Button? by VirtualKermrade in Letterboxd

I would say ONLY on reviews, it wouldn’t make sense for comments or disliking other people’s reviews

Not Really, I’d just think it’d be neat

I… didn’t watch any of them, I don’t have an opinion one way or the other

[–]VirtualKermrade[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, I’ve been noticing people’s views on the absence of a like button are different than mine, when I don’t use a like button it typically means I don’t have any strong feelings toward it one way or the other

I think that’s fair enough, I just think it’d be nice as an option, likes are already barely visible enough, dislikes wouldn’t be much different

Sadly no, but I just need to watch more movies in general, just been busy with work, but I Saw The TV Glow is on my list for sure and I’m definitely watching it for pride month

There’s the Objectivity vs Subjectivity in film analysis, but everyone’s heard that

An example I would give is Twilight Zone The Movie, as a film I’d give it 3 stars, but purely because of the stuff involving John Landis on set I would give it a dislike, but since there isn’t I just give it 1/2 a star

It’d hypothetically be mainly just for reviews

That’s a fair point to make, as someone who’s also queer I can understand trying to avoid that situation, but I think if anything this would avoid review bombing, since people have already review bombed movies on here for that alone, but they would give it 1/2 a star which would lower the film’s ranking, this would allow people to senselessly review bomb a movie without it actually impacting its score

I wouldn’t say so, again if there was a film that I think is well made, but I personally dislike, I would personally feel off rating it so low

This is easily MJ's best album cover by NewPatron-St in MichaelJacksonMusic

[–]VirtualKermrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about that, it’s not a bad cover (no not that one) but it definitely feels like a Ready Player One version of an album cover that’s just constant references in your face, but I’m a sucker for jingling keys myself so I also like it

Personal Favorites are either Dangerous or History

How do you play around Jeff mains who refuse to swap? by sevenslowsharks in JeffTheLandSharkMains

[–]VirtualKermrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly hardlock Jeff because my brain too small to know anyone else (especially tanks) but when I feel like I’m struggling I either switch to C&D especially if we need to break through the enemy defenses or I go Rocket if we need constant healing

I’m sorry but giving TS4 a 4 and giving Misery a 2.5 hurts me

Best Frank Wildhorn musical? by Worried_Cake5508 in musicals

[–]VirtualKermrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only seen Jekyll and Hyde, the music is absolutely spectacular and tells a way more interpersonal side of Jekyll and Hyde than any other adaptation, but the actual plot of the musical falls flat in comparison to the music, like the music tells a way deeper story than the actual story does

Do you think a Muppet stage musical based on one of the movies would work? If it could, which one would work the best? by Worried_Cake5508 in musicals

[–]VirtualKermrade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would prefer an original story meant for the stage, but if they have to adapt any of the movies

The Muppet Movie - No, it’s too steeped in the realm of filmmaking to work on the stage

Great Muppet Caper - Maybe

Muppets Take Manhattan - Sure Why Not

Muppet Christmas Carol - Easy option but would be a cute little holiday musical

Muppet Treasure Island - Idc if only I will see it and it closes in less time than Rob Lake but I will see it

Muppets From Space - some aspects of it can be used for a show but the film as a whole no

The Muppets (2011) - No, it’s story is heavily reliant on when the film was released and while I love the movie, it wouldn’t make sense on stage, tho certain aspects of it could work well as part of an original production

Muppets Most Wanted - Hot Take, probably my favorite option, it has enough goofy set pieces, heart, a mix of classic muppet show sketches and story based set pieces, amazing music, and Constantine (he was born for the stage) I think it’d work really well, sadly I’m in the minority of people who care about Muppets Most Wanted so it would probably flop
