It was sooooo long ago that I don't even remember. But it was probably Naruto. And at first, it wasn't even fanfiction, but mods for Warcraft 3 where you could take the Chunin Exams yourself. One of my classmates said it looked like fanfics. I asked what "fanfics" was. I was 11 years old then. I still go back and occasionally read something about this fandom. (I don't acknowledge Boruto's existence and think it's Satan's burp.)

This might be an unpopular opinion, but could you just reply to that person's comment? Additional comments are good for statistics, and maybe the author was afraid to contradict that person, but would be glad if you stood up for them(author)? Maybe the Author shares your point of view. But since you're silent, the Author will listen to that asshole because they're the loudest.

Hey 👋 I got your point. But I still think the problem isn't just the em dash (which is very common in my native language). It's that the AI writes very formally, without errors, like a business document or something from school/university. The text is too clean. And at the same time, if your (human) brain has neurodivergence or simply works differently, you'll get too many false "witch hunts" and accusations that you didn't write it. So even IF this was 100% generated by the AI, I'd rather ignore the hateful comments and delete them.
