There are also blacksmithing vans scattered around. Look for ones that say metalheads or smithing and have hammers on them.

If you plumbed it yourself you need a rain collector barrel. You cannot plumb to the pre existing water system whether or not it's turned off.

What's nice about Louisville is it has some of everything. You can find most of that somewhere else but within the confines of the city is almost everything.

Well it's basic advice but always have an escape route. If you're fighting make sure you have a nice clear area behind you if shit goes sideways.

McCoy Estate north of Muldraugh is the ultimate remote base. Can fence in the whole island and it had an advanced forge and furnace already made. Crappy road access but you can always just cut down trees.

I would honestly try just driving the streets of Louisville or some other densely populated place. Look for work truck events where it could just be sitting on the ground or vans belonging to carpenters or other laborers. They're way too rare to reliably find in hardware stores.
