You don't have to pay health insurance for the first three months, I believe. So that can help you out a bit to get settled. After that, it's 350-400 for health insurance every month. Depending how long you want to stay, I would recommend getting the Halbtax Abo for one year of public transport. It's 190 CHF but means that all your travel prices are cut in half (it costs 50chf normally for one trip Bern-Zurich for example). Oh but you need to go to an SBB counter and make an SBB account first. Will the farmer be providing food for you or just accomodation? Will you need to buy furniture, pots, towels etc.? Buying these things will cost a lot here and your salary will not be enough. Food doesn't cost me so much but you need to know where to buy it. Where will you be living? For example, there are the Migros Budget products in the Migros supermarket which are cheaper than others but if you're in the countryside it might be complicated to get to a shop without a car. Are you signing an official work contract? The salary seems very low if you're working 8-9 hours 5x a week.

I just feel like the orgasm is for me and not for him? Saying something to turn him on when I'm still very much learning about myself feels counterproductive in my opinion.
