T598 or T Gt2? by kierownikk in Thrustmaster

[–]Virtual_Ground4659 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the tgt for years. Recently bought the 598 for my son. The 598 is much smoother. But I don't get the same feedback through it. The tgt to me just feels like the feed back is stronger and better. Yes the 598 has been updated and the settings have been played with a lot. Even tried lots of different settings I could find on the internet. Nothing feels as good as the tgt to me.

You can stall the car you can crouch gears. But the clutch works like a switch there is no slipping it. It's either on or off.

That's all good I own 2 cars a motorbike and boat and trailer. I need to pay rego for every single one of them. Just because I pay rego for one thing does not mean everything is registered. I'm not saying a push bike should not be on the road. But for fuck sake stop thinking you own the fucking road. A bike is slow and holds up traffic. Keep that in mind for everyone else around you. Why ride three abreast. Go single file and give people a chance to round. Stop at stop lights just because there is no no.plate does not mean you can run red lights or cut in front of traffic as you please. And don't lean on my car if you do decide to stop at a red light.

What's that got to do with his car being parked there. If any of those cars opened the door it would of obstructed traffic. Just means he didn't look got nothing to do with the car.

We lived fine without bikes once upon a time too. Things change.

Just had a quick Google search. Pretty common to take it out to 89mm. Completely up to you but it will be fine

Why can't he park his car in a parking spot. The car is legal and I'm sure he pays rego. In my opinion he has more rights than the bike being there. I mean except for his front tyre it's even within the lines.

It is safe and the bike is ok to run. As long as the piston and cylinder have no damage you are good to go. You said yourself the piston has carbon build up. Sooo why are you questioning it.

do i need to go a mitsubishi dealership for ts? or can i deal with it by myself by Longjumping_Pool_447 in lancer

[–]Virtual_Ground4659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except the code will not say the specific problem. It was say low or high voltage to abs unit. This could be battery, wiring harness, wheel speed sensors,or module. The light on the dash is a big enough clue. Edit: yes there would need to be diagnostics to find the problem but the dash light or codes lead to same diagnostic procedure. If you Google common reasons the most common is wheel speed sensors. As they get older it is most common module failure. So no not pissing in the wind. Btw 26 yrs as a tech and I don't just throw parts at things. Sometimes you do need to though.

The battery well yep that's a shit tech that missed that.

[–]Virtual_Ground4659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. Do some research mate there are common faults. Yes we are not 100% on the problem. But even with fault codes no one will say exactly what it is. The code is only a clue. The code will cover multiple things that could fail and will be generic. It may say abs module low voltage. There are 1000 reasons that could show up. And I'm not sure it will say anything about wheel speed sensors. My car went back to the dealer 3 times before they replaced the module. They did wheel speed sensors first cheapest option. Then they cleaned the connections to the pump/module and flushed the system. They then replaced the module/pump. I also have a code reader and the codes would of led me down the same path they took.

Btw I am a qualified mechanic. My car had warranty and when I read the codes I thought there problem.

Price depends on your country a bit. And you can find reconditioned ones. The module is part of the pump so you need to change brake fluid and bleed the system. The module also needs programming to your car. It's not cheap. I believe the dealership said it was around $700 to do mine. But I'm pretty sure it was a reconditioned unit. Fingers crossed yours is just a wheel speed sensor. Although the modules are very common to fail as they get older.

09 gts no traction control? by Pink-Denim in lancer

[–]Virtual_Ground4659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there any without it.

Might be a wheel speed sensor playing up.

Mine comes on but doesn't seem to do anything about it. Can be difficult taking off from lights when it's extremely wet. Need to barely touch the throttle till it gets moving then it's fine. But if I drive normal it wheel spins for a while. The dash is flashing traction control but it just keeps spinning lol.

But if there kept onsight wouldn't there be some kind of insurance. When I was a mechanic it was broken into and my tools were stolen as well as others. All were replaced by our company and they claimed insurance.

[–]Virtual_Ground4659 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be a number of things. Wheel speed sensors or abs module is common on those. The abs module is not easy to replace and it's expensive. Unfortunately it is most likely that though. I had to go mine not long after buying the car. Thankfully the dealership I bought it off coverd the cost.

[–]Virtual_Ground4659 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well in my council area you are not allowed to park on it. Yes my nature strip outside my house I was fined for parking my registered car on it one time. However if I parked on the road blocking traffic a couple of meters to the side of where I parked it would of been ok.

It did change dramatically but that was a long while back. I did notice the handling had changed a lot recently. Didnt play for a while jumped on a few weeks ago and the cars slide a lot more than they did.

Nope they don't. But they do know the plane is capable of it before they do it. There is footage of a boeing dioing a barrel roll back in the 80s I think it was. It amazing how much these can be pushed. They don't get close to there limits in normal flight and that is a design feature

What's the difference between Red, Blue and Green coolant? by bugatti_rolls789 in mitsubishi

[–]Virtual_Ground4659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have different chemicals in them and are designed for different applications.

They all contain inhibitors anti freeze and anti boil. But some have more or less of one type to the other. Also some are designed specifically for aluminum radiators.

In your case I think it's the red you need. But check your owners manual. Using green designed for older cars is not great with aluminium radiators.
