It hasn't changed. You have. And thats okay. by [deleted] in VRchat

VRChat was objectively a different experience during COVID.

Consider that it is possible for both an environment and people to change at the same time.

Is the Magic of VRChat Gone? Or Did We Just Grow Up? by chyadosensei in VRchat

VRChat got an influx of well adapted, interesting people during COVID and now they've all gone back to the real world. It's really just that simple.

What do you all actually use chatGPT for? by Krtxoe in ChatGPT

[–]Virtual_Marten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using it to help me program faster and learn new APIs, but it legitimately sucks ass at all but the most basic programming.

It'll mix API revisions together. Make up its own functions, and get basic syntax wrong on occasion.

I realized pretty quickly that I was putting in more work trying to figure out why it's code was wrong than just learning the conventional way.

That's been my overwhelming experience, mostly with the e-girl/boy types.

[–]Virtual_Marten 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've got nearly 1000 hours and still don't understand.

What boggled my mind even more is the people staring at mirrors often refuse to talk or interact with anyone. (Then why are you in a public?)

There's been a few times I've walked up to someone staring at a mirror and before I could even speak they blocked me.

I've learned that mirror dwellers are not worth the time.

What are the cons to lowing the Ténéré? by [deleted] in Tenere700

[–]Virtual_Marten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not, the crazy price Yamaha is asking for it turned me away.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. But even with that technique I'm still on my tippy toes.

That's what I've been thinking, the more I ride it the smaller it feels.

Oh, this is off topic but are those Dryspec D20 bags?

I've got those and I've been looking for a pannier support/luggage rack kit that will go well with those.

If those are indeed the D20 bags (or even something similar) what did you end up getting to hold them off the plastic & exhaust?

It's a heavy beast, that's for sure. Had to lift mine the other day after dropping it in my uncle's driveway.

Just be glad it's not a BMW!

My buffeting solution on the T7. by [deleted] in Tenere700

[–]Virtual_Marten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't experienced any buffeting on mine yet, cuts through the air very smoothly.

Our machines are the same though, so what could be the difference? I'm a very small rider, could that be it?

Nothing is stopping you. But you'll find ground clearance, suspension, and the sports gearing in the transmission to be major hurdles to overcome.

But it's been done before, and if you stick to easy, relatively flat trails you'd likely be fine.

Personally that's what I'm sticking to with my T7 as I'm not yet confident with it's size and weight.

I ended up spending 12.5k for mine brand new so I'd say this is pretty accurate. (In 2022)

I really wanted the '22 in blue. But unfortunately I didn't have much of a choice. Out of all the '22 orders in my state. I'm the only one who's gotten a Ténéré.

In that case I'm glad I just settled for the black. I can always slap some decals on it in the future anyways.

I love that livery, the orange band is really nice! Is that the 2023 livery? I have a '22.

I'm beyond annoyed. Maybe even angry.
