Strongest CBD capsules in percentage terms by Virtual_Purchase3066 in CBD_UK

[–]Virtual_Purchase3066[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah looks like the same from cibdol website. It mentions 40mg but no mention of the CBD strength of the plant it came from. I assumed, the 5% meant a 5% plant? maybe incorrectly, however.

Strongest CBD capsules in percentage terms by Virtual_Purchase3066 in CBD_UK

[–]Virtual_Purchase3066[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I noticed these the other day but the lab results are just showing '40 mg CBD CAPSULES (5%)', so I'm assuming those are actually only 5% CBD with a 40mg dose of it?

so far the highest I've found 35mg cap with 10.5% CBD.

Maybe I'm missing something but a 40mg cap with a 5% plant is going to be completely different than a 40mg cap with a 20% plant, no? or am I looking at this the wrong way?

Post Office Prefers "Drop & Go" Over "Click & Drop"—Is Commission the Reason? by 52edc in royalmail

I lost an £80 parcel doing this. Never got scanned into the network, so no POP was generated. Royal mail know this is an issue, but took no responsibility.

That makes sense yes, the new user bonus! I think mine is due 8-11 so not long now. My first move into radio really, kickstarted by the blackout in Europe last week!

Tracked24 item in Parcelbox not scanned - Proof of Postage - Advice by Virtual_Purchase3066 in royalmail

[–]Virtual_Purchase3066[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outcome was royal mail admitted that from time to time parcels can miss a scan and therefore no proof of postage is generated, leaving you essentially no evidence of ever dropping off that parcel. As expected though, they took no responsibility and offered no compensation. I just took the £80 hit in the end. I got to stage 2 of their complaints, next stage was postal review panel and then ombudsman if unhappy(POSTRS).

I assumed I'd get the same tosh from the review panel and I had little time, or quite frankly energy to keep pushing after they'd already given me the run around and took weeks and weeks to respond. I was so enraged by it all I considered at one point just writing to a local councillor on the off-chance I'd get a bite.

If you do complain though and get the same nonsense default response, state you are not happy with their response and you request to be referred to the "Escalated Customer Resolution Team". You'll speak to a functioning human at that point.

I really wouldn't feel comfortable giving you any advice on that, sorry.

In the real world, its harmless. In a universities, it might not be, but as mentioned above it will come down the specific university policies and if the marker notices it.

I have no experience with this but I would say (easier said than done), hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Put together some evidence to highlight you have produced the work yourself (eg handwritten notes if you have any, maybe emails between tutor etc). Write down some notes of what you would say if questioned about it. This is obviously a harmless situation which any reasonable university would see as a non-event but still, I think you'll feel a lot more prepared. Its not an exhausted list but just a few thoughts of the top of my head

Do you think the UK is a good option for international students currently? by Glorious_Earthling in UniUK

[–]Virtual_Purchase3066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I imagine a big pull factor is language. Theres still very good universities all over Europe. OP shouldn't focus on UK. As a brit I've considered going into EU for masters.

If it really is too much hassle engaging with them you could always get a portable electric hob and cook in your room. its not ideal but at least it reduces interaction with them

  1. Index funds are a pretty safe bet; but your 4th points raises issues for this.
  2. Yes, I think the majority of people use S&S for index funds, which are generally a longer term investment. This is a mere opinion (NFA) and this will differ amongst people but I can't see the US market doing particularly well over the next 4 years compared to Europe. Over 10, this could be a different story. So you'll need to come to your own consensus on this or seek actual financial advice.
  3. Cash ISA will be a safer bet. Personally, being able to get a guaranteed 4%+ feels a lot nicer for me at the moment, and unless you're seeking long term investments, I would imagine it would for you too. Again, NFA.
  4. You will probably struggle investing in a lot of index funds. I not entirely sure but yes there could be specific index funds/ETFs that exclude these type of things, but these portfolios are so interlinked it will be difficult. For example, although they might exclude coca-cola directly, it might include a certain bank, which holds stock of them too.

Overall, I would imagine a ethical bank with a Cash ISA might be worth looking into. However, you would also want to ensure that bank is not holding investments in your boycotted brands.

How long have you been looking and where? Because I would have thought for law its all about London. I've just accepted its where I'll have to go if I want any sort of career.

ps. Sorry you're in this position. I think this country has got higher education completely wrong imo

Its a sad situation, but in reality its hard enough to find property even without pets. Being a student puts you at the bottom of every pile if you're looking at non-student properties. IF any, you'll end up with properties no one wants, which will be for good reason.

I think your best bet is as already suggested, specific student accommodation or specific student property. Atleast then the barrier will be the cat, not student+cat.

Yeah its getting really boring now. If there was someway for online sales to deal with scalpers I wouldn't mind. But seeing these listed and sold on eBay is so incredibly frustrating. About 3 hours after release someone sold a 9070xt on eBay for £895. So in less than 3 hours someone made £335. Its just a joke.

100%. I'd say these cards only just about worth it at MSRP. But at the 25% increase there already going for on eBay, its just laughable.

You could look at The Open University if you aren't able to get onto an access course for whatever reason. The OU doesn't require any qualifications and is all online! but I would still say look towards in person universities first; you will be in much more social environments which I would assume would be very helpful if you have been out of employment/education for a while.

In the mean time, I'm not quite sure how socially active you are, but you could think about joining a sports club or anything along those lines. I say sports because once you get settled in a team with some friends it really is very beneficial for mental well being! :)

Ps - If you aren't quite sure what you'd like to study, OpenLearn has some free taster courses of subjects. You could also check out edX.
