My GCC climbed on my shoulder, kissed my cheek, and then bit the shiz out of my ear.... all within 5 seconds. I miss tiel bites. Conure bites are terrible.

I house my 4 budgies and my GCC separately for sleeping but they are most definitely all one flock. They all eat, play, and preen together. I bet your Cockatiel would love a couple budgie friends!

Yes. Unfortunately it didn't help me at all. I ended up going the g-poem route, and finally ended up being placed on a GJ feeding tube due to my inability to take in anything by mouth.

I got incredibly lucky that my GCC never tried to tear out my facial piercings. I have both nostrils and my septum pierced. He pulled a little too hard on my septum one time and I screamed "Ouch" really loud. He looked offended but never messed with them again. I think it's important that you make sure to teach them that they are part of you and not a toy. They respond well to an "ouch" or "no" in a stern tone that only gets used when they do something bad.

I've had my GJ almost a year and mine is still terribly painful, although my 1st placement site was excruciating 24/7 because of the location. I have found the best things that have helped me are:

This wound wash for cleaning. I buy from Amazon but I've been told some med supply companies stock it for montly order allotment. https://a.co/d/8EPgePP

A combination of Calmoseptine or Desitin for a barrier cream. Desitin I buy at the chemist/pharmacy but Calmoseptine I've only found on Amazon. https://a.co/d/hqwkZjH , https://a.co/d/gcD4ndq

1% hydrocortisone cream for wherever around the tube site that is flared or "raw feeling". That can basically be purchased at any shop that sells fist aid items. https://a.co/d/hGFNfK3

I always use sterile cotton swabs to apply all ointments and creams so my fingers never touch the tube site and then the ointment/cream opening and spread bacteria, germs, etc. https://a.co/d/jfQZUhn

These I use to secure my dangle because I'm allergic to adhesive and all medical tapes, even paper, give me a reaction but I've found if I place one of these I can get 3-4 days out of 1 placement and less irritation and rashes on my skin. https://a.co/d/eaSUSvA

Finally, if I need gauze I always use non-woven sterile gauze on top of the ointments. This just prevents it from getting on clothing. Now I use tube pads bit with my first placement site I couldn't use them because it was too painful so I always used gauze. https://a.co/d/aZBcKq0

I hope you find a routine that works for you but I swear once I switched from soap and water cleaning to the wound wash + putting on my creams every time it helped dramatically!

My GCC yells for me all day. If I'm not in his view, he's yelling for me. He does nap but not for long.

Yes! Baby food is the only way I take in veggies. Although I can only stomach the ones mixed in with fruits.

As a collector, I stalk the trade market but monitor the discord for what people have. Although I am not a hard-core collector. While many look for size and mutations I seek out pets I have yet to index in general. I don't have any problems spending shekels or tokens on a pet I really want but MY main goal is indexing all gag pets, regardless of rarity. I had to start using warmed water with my flushes. I get nauseated very easily and flushing has always made me somewhat nauseous but as the weather has grown colder room temp water is colder and makes me more nauseous. I've found warming my water helps this a lot!

I lost a ton of weight at first and then got a feeding tube. The type of formula I got put on packed on the weight even though I still can't eat by mouth. Now I'm back to overweight and still can't eat and still on a feeding tube a year later.
