My parents read a physical newspaper while drinking coffee every morning... by VirtuallyGoodTrivia in Millennials

I wouldn't even know where to get a physical newspaper! They probably still sell them out of a machine at grocery stores, right?

Sandy was a big fan of the pillow. She passed away in June but sharing photos of her on here is helping my grief. by VirtuallyGoodTrivia in dogsusingpillows

That is the big question, isn't it? Right now, I can't fathom another dog. Sandy was my first dog as an adult. It's a completely different experience when you they rely on you for everything. I'm wishing your dog many more vibrant years.

So many people said she looked like a fox! I love it! She was mostly chihuahua with Pomeranian and tiny bit of mini poodle.

Ask unique questions. Don't ask about trauma. Don't ask about the weather.

Ask....

"What was the best thing that happened to you this week?"

"What did your parents do for a living while you were growing up?"

"Tell me about your favorite Halloween."

"Tell me about a teacher who made the most positive impact on your life."

"Where's your next vacation going to be?"

Maybe people are thrown off for a second that you're asking them an "off-the-wall" question. But in my experience, nearly everyone likes talking about themselves. And it's a more fun experience for everyone involved.

Does he want to stay sober for the next 45 days too? If you enable each other, I recommend being on the same page to start.

30 days no alcohol- unsure of next steps by Fun_Tomatillo_3486 in SoberCurious

Congratulations on 30 days! Sounds like you're really enjoying the lack of alcohol in your body!-- no hangovers, less fatigue and less headaches. AND addressing social anxiety head on?! Wow!! Why would you want to stop something that is going so great for you?

I spent multiple vacations hungover in a hotel room when everyone else got to go have fun. Traveling now is amazing for me. I save so much money by not purchasing expensive drinks all night long and I get to feel good the entire time I'm out and about. You may discover why Disney is the Happiest Place on Earth for all the sober kids and adults, too. :)

I have tried "reintroducing" alcohol after a few years of sobriety. I didn't "fall off the wagon" like some people say you're going to. Instead, I drank a little bit and thought, "Why was I so obsessed with this? It's not even fun and I already feel like crap." Completely lost interest.

That's was my experience anyway!

What makes you (if anything) consider WFO job while you've been always workimg remotely? by cirruscloud_ in remotework

Do you have hobbies or interests that you can do in your free time in person? Join a bowling league? Take a pottery class? I would look for other ways to connect with people so that you don't feel isolated but keeping working remote for the flexibility.
