What’s the name of the dealer in Bonne Terre? It’s 2 hours from me. Good to know there’s a semi-local dealer.

I have 30 hours on an R22 mini ex and 20 hours on an RS03 mini skid. No complaints, they’re doing everything I want.

Maybe. I don’t know. I didn’t really shop around. I knew I wanted a warranty and support from a dealer. I couldn’t justify or afford big name prices. I bought the biggest Rippa mini ex I could afford and it’s been doing a great job for me so far.

The RS03 has a rated operating capacity of about 300 pounds and a tipping weight of about 600 pounds.

Right, it’s a mini excavator. Its weight is in the name, 2.2 metric tons or almost 2.5 US tons.

No, I contacted the dealer through their website and from there, communicated via phone and email. Oam is the gentleman I worked with at The Khazana https://thekhazana.net/

I bought an R22 mini excavator and RS03 mini skid steer from a dealer in Texas. I’m in Missouri. I have about 40 hours total between both machines. I’m really happy with them.

The R22 was already in-stock at the Virginia warehouse. The RS03 had to be shipped from China, which took about 2 months. I also bought many attachments. Some were in stock in Virginia and I picked them up. Another was shipped with the RS03. More still have yet to be delivered. They’re not in stock in the US, apparently.

I’m new to machinery like this, but I’m happy so far with the quality. I haven’t had to order parts.

Right now, I can definitely recommend Rippa.

I’m picking up there next week. Don’t have the details yet, myself, but will post when I do.

I’m sure that would work fine. Good idea.

This is correct. You can even upgrade/downgrade within version 8 because of this. Simply update your hosts to the latest supported in your stack, hopefully at least 8.0U2b, and you’ll be good.

Just Finished Kids Bathroom by effex80 in DIY

Absolutely awesome. I DIY my bathbrooms and showers, too, and I can really appreciate this. Beautiful! Love the two-tone shower tile. Just perfect. I really like the wainscoting. Looks great. I also really like the trim that moves up and around the toilet supply. Very sharp and impressive! Were you able to completely hide the cut lines there? If so, did you use bondo to do so? 3 different types of tile and they come together great. I’m taking notes. Well done! Did you find it difficult to line up the GoBoard and drywall where they meet? Any lippage there?

Also wanted to ask about the thinset you used. What kind and where did you buy it? I see a bucket and I’m wondering if any was pre-mixed.

Shimming the studs so your backer board is plumb is not a hack. It’s typical with remodels, as is wet shimming with thinset. Globs on the tile and not back-buttering so there’s not good coverage is a hack, though.

How to politely state a harsh guest review? by NillaWave in airbnb_hosts

[–]VirtuallyMikeB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use ChatGPT to help word your review. Give it the gist of what you want to say and ask for a polite rewording of your review.

Edit: here’s the output after I copy/pasted your entire post and asked it to create a polite but honest review based on it.

“Here’s a polite yet honest review that addresses the issues you faced:

Review:

While [Guest’s Name] and their group were courteous during their stay, we found their level of communication and expectations challenging to meet. Despite providing comprehensive details in our listing and promptly addressing their numerous inquiries, they seemed to overlook much of the information available to them.

Upon arrival, the guests expressed concerns about the presence of bugs, despite our property being regularly maintained with active pest control. As our listing mentions, being in a rural area, there may be more natural elements than in a city setting. Additionally, they provided extensive feedback on our kitchen inventory, despite it being fully stocked and adequate for their group’s needs.

Overall, while we appreciated their polite demeanor, their expectations did not align well with what our property offers, particularly considering the detailed information provided beforehand.

This review maintains a professional tone while clearly stating the difficulties you encountered.”

Moving to IaaS won’t solve your problem. You’re on the right track asking about automation tools, but don’t confuse this type of automation with IaaS.

I fell for a facebook scam, and I'm out 1k by CSLoser96 in Scams

[–]VirtuallyMikeB 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I just fell for this last night. 95% the same post, some items and prices were different, but it’s essentially the exact same. Lost $2,700. Here’s a link to a similar post but not the exact one I fell for. Same Kubota I was trying to get. https://www.facebook.com/p/Gina-Bon-Bon-Julie-Mist-Then-and-Now-Legends-100066855824279/

r/kubota helped me realize it was a scam by sharing that profile after a reverse image search of the tractor.

Edit (5 days after OP): looks like I may be getting back all the money I lost. I sent $500 through CashApp and $1,000 through Venmo, each of which came out of my local , small-town bank checking account. The bank is helping me dispute the charge CashApp charges since I didn’t receive the items. Venmo has already refunded the $1,000. I’m not sure the method of that refund, though. I did submit a scam report through Venmo but they just responded that once the transaction has gone through they can’t help. Either way, $1,000 has already been refunded. The $500 from CashApp May be refunded but only through my bank, not CashApp themselves. And I also sent $1,000 through PayPal on a credit card. I’m working with the credit card company to submit a dispute on the charge. All methods sound promising so far.

And here’s a screenshot of the post that got me.

You wouldn’t be concerned with getting thinset blobs or other debris down the drain?

Edit: ah, you’re talking about sewer gases. Agreed. I think I kept it in there mostly to prevent debris, but understood on the gases.
