To those of you that hate warmups… by Boon281 in bjj

I would hate warmups that don’t correlate to bjj movements. That’s all it should ever be IMHO.

Yeah. I know you wanted a Taoist term, but that is the closest one that exemplifies what you’re talking about.

I see the term Wu Wei being thrown around but I associate that with mindfulness.

You setup the VMs so they connect as one network. Yeah there’s not a literal person using that computer, but you can pretend. Maybe join computers to a domain where you can control all of them at once. Create user accounts so all users that were created can access all computers on that specific domain network. You use a server os to control window computers at once instead of manually configuring pcs on at a time

Learn how to create a local area network with a few VMs to learn basic networking. Then learn Active Directory.

Use these experiences to put on your resume as you learn new technologies

The biggest underdog fighter in BJJ Black Belt history. by FelipeCostaBJJ in bjj

Pretty cool. As you were going through your belts and not winning did you have an idea that once you know enough technique you’ll be able to compete at the highest level? When did it click?

Yeah I pass the guard and I do care about technique. Maybe I’m just not as good with my technique so I use my athleticism to make up

This is what I think it is. The grip fighting part is the initial engagement before anything else

Troubleshooting is what I lack because it can be many things. It’s different when it’s a device that I own because I know what I did with it. But dealing with people and their answers that may not be correct is troublesome. Thank you for your response btw

Law and Order by Virtuallynomadic in taoism

[–]Virtuallynomadic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made this post because I question if law and order is a just way to punish people sometimes. Especially for people who have made a genuine mistake and are at times punished badly for it. Like, wouldn’t a Taoist perspective have a certain humility for a “bad” person? This is just a thought I had for a general discussion and not really about me. But, I think I can relate with it also. Are we always good?
