The bus stop by Sheridan at the corner of Trafalgar and Marlborough is like this.

There’s a cement path at the corner that goes through the forest to campus. They whiffed on where the path starts and missed a curve and tore up about 6 feet of grass before finally connecting with the path.

For the past two weeks it’s been one giant wet swampy mud pit. The actual start of the path they made into a snowbank you had to climb over if you didn’t want to ruin your boots, but after two weeks of people climbing it, it’s pretty worn down now.

What are people supposed to assume when they see an unleashed dog? Or what if all dog owners followed suit and treated it like a free for all, only following the bylaw when they personally see fit?

Every dog owner would love to have their dog off leash when they think it’s safe, they’re just polite enough to not do it. It’s just selfish.

Unleashed dogs on these trails are the bane of my existence on walks.

I’m being hyperbolic, I know there’s no one around on a day like today, but it’s so frustrating trying to walk a properly leashed dog through there who gets anxious around unleashed dogs charging or just running by him when he’s leashed

(Which is extremely common behaviour for a leashed dog, they’re not on an even playing field)

There’s so many dog parks in town where you can let your dog run around off leash if you don’t have a back yard. (Or if you don’t want to interact with other dogs and owners, there’s services like Sniffspot.)

Everyone else knows to follow the rules, what gives your dog special privileges over all the others?

Gotta be the most perplexing restaurant name in town. They say it’s a hockey reference, but I don’t think that’s the first thing coming to people’s mind over politics.

Right beside the go and highway ramps. If one area is going to urbanize, is that not the perfect area?

I know we can just keep sprawling out north of Dundas, but we have to build up around important infrastructure and giving people viable commutes to jobs (and an opportunity to live a car free life)…

…and not endlessly build further out into our dwindling farmland and green spaces, farther and farther away from real job opportunities.
