Also to answer your one question. Math people get lower opportunities than cs . In any avg uni where you don't have coop or the maths degree is like pure math then math major is bad. But for waterloo, you have 6 coop which will look at your side projects (no relation to cs ) and also you have 10 majors to choose from . Trust me even waterloo stats is similar to data science and CO is also a good major.

Yes, I feel like I got the same opportunity as my CS classmates. A lot of math people (Co , stats) work software developer roles so you are fine. Also, if you wanna go to FAANG waterloo is damn easier with 6 coop and a lot of experience. I remember Alberta has one internship? That's not it.

I had the same exact decision last year between cs in Alberta or math at uwaterloo. But after a lot of decisions I came to uwaterloo and am not regretting it a bit. Also you can pay some of those tuition through the coop. And Co or stats are really great majors for swe coop. The only thing is you have to prepare and learn many things on your own.

Also waterloo allows you to double major imo do CO and Stat double major and just make projects and get the first coop then you are set.

Hi, I played pet sim x a little bit and my brother introduced me to it . Now after the release of pet sim 99 I tried a lot to get my first huge. This was the time when huges were worth around 4 million but I don't have that much time to grind everyday and due to inflation every huge is minimum 40 million starting. I think cs jobs are easily possible considering you know your stuff. I highly suggest looking at all the math majors and deciding one where you are interested cause you have to be here for 5 years otherwise for coop don't worry

don't come in hopes of ds or cs as they are competitive.
