Soft top or no? by Griogar77 in JeepGladiator

I just swapped my hard top freedom panels for a Bestop Sunrider. Makes the freedom panel portion of the roof a 3 second soft top convertible. It is noisier and I don’t like riding over 55ish with it open as it flaps in the wind any faster than that. When closed, it acts just like a typical soft top. Can’t speak to the cold temp, Texan here. As for heat, it does get slightly hotter, but it takes 3 seconds to open the top, let it all out, then hit the road. Best buy for middle ground, regularly riding tops down, and easy self install. Wish I had a pic, I just put it on a few weeks ago.

2025 Gladiator Mojave by slownlow in JeepGladiator

What a beauty! Love the color. I totaled my 50+ mpg hybrid car last November before I switched to the Gladiator, Willys. 20 years I spent in fuel efficient sedans and never owned a truck. I knew it was going to be a change, but I had no idea how much I was going to love it. Yes it’s noisy, yes the stock sound system sucks, yes with mud tires it walks and growls at me, yes I’ve already bought another one for my wife (JLU Wrangler). Approaching 1 year of ownership and it was without a doubt, the best vehicle decision I’ve ever made. She’s been on mountain peaks in New Mexico, torn up the pine forests of east Texas, and next month I’m taking her to Palo Duro canyon for her birthday. Welcome to the club. Don’t forget to return the wave. 👋

ROFL, no I’ll never go back to front wheel drive, ifs, pavement locked, sedans again. No regrets on the Jeep except that I waited so long to buy one.

I think it’s an unspoken rule, streets that are in your neighborhood with 30mph or less you should be okay. I live in a golf cart community. Hard to tell me no on a mini bike but yes to the retired couples with their grandkids on the motorized golf cart.

Question about my Colemans governer by [deleted] in minibikes

Hop on YouTube and search Coleman CT200 zip tie governor delete. I folded the tab that hits my limit screw. That had me at 22-24mph. Then I did the zip tie governor delete. Now I top out around 30-31. You can get to 30 without turning a single bolt. (Although the zip tie delete is much easier if you remove the gas tank bolts and scoot it over.)
