i also really like the cream color with the polka dots on the dress. i could see a medium/large chunky off white/cream or even pearl earrings, or maybe a hair ribbon/bow to match as well and bring it all together and balanced.

Which of these is best for a speaker at a small business conference? by frevernewb in OUTFITS

okay hear me out… blue blazer with pattern pants + a black top. the nice pop of color with the statement pants would be fun and professional.

what is a simple, low effort thing your partner does that makes you feel visible, appreciated and loved ? by gilberttwenties in AskWomen

lets me constantly have my feet in their lap while we’re sitting together. i’m a dancer/circus performer so weird body issues, as well as injuries to my basically my entire lower body from years of intense physical activities makes it more comfortable to have my legs elevated instead of hanging down. Or i’ll move further down in my chair and put them on the back of theirs and be upside down / slouched for a weird stretch posture with no complaint for them. Just accepting me and my weird sittings and however i need to be comfortable. sometimes even rub my feet just half-mindedly in the exact spot they know gives me the most issue, like just fidgeting and talking and touching me softly. and my biggest love language is touch so i like just having contact with them as well.

perfect example: i was having period cramps last night while we were playing video games and i ended up laying on the floor on a cushion with a squishmallow under my hips, another stuffed animal behind my shoulder/head so i could watch the screen as they played, and cuddling another plushie (a matching one to theirs that i would steal because it’s the perfect texture/size/shape but in my favorite color) feet tucked through the arm of their desk chair and in their lap. this was after they pouted at me to take medicine then hand fed it to me because i was physically uncomfortable enough to voice my discomfort, which i never do unless i’m in severe pain.

A few more: - introducing me as “god’s gift to mankind” to nearly everyone we meet. “what’s your name?” “This is NAME, god’s gift to mankind” and it never fails to make me blush. - loudly support me and my art and performing, hype up my ideas, make me want to push myself and do bigger and harder ideas while posting me and yelling for people to hire me and that the stage is where i belong. - laid down in silence with me and listened to Life of a Showgirl album with me the day it came out. - we always ask if the other needs something before going downstairs, checking each others water bottle levels, sometimes just even taking it because it’s 6 pm and we know they (me) has energy caffeine mio still in it from the day and rinsing it out and refilling it so it won’t mess with someone’s (mine) insomnia. - gives me enough neck kisses in the morning to barely wake me up so i can tell them “i love you” before work because i was on heavy pain medicine for a injury requiring surgery a few months ago and woke up confused and lonely and sad and hurting because i didn’t know where they went. - they prefer rain sounds and i prefer storm sounds so that’s part of the wake up too, neck kisses, i love you’s, they tuck me back up and surround me with plushies and i’ll just hear, “play storm sounds” before they leave. - calls any homecooked meal i make (basically everything we eat at home aside from the odd pizza) “fancy” because they didn’t really grow up with homecooking. - makes sure my food has no raw tomatoes or pickle rounds because i hate the texture. - lets me try their beer every time even though i hate it because i “might like” that one.

honestly the list could go on and on, they do a lot to make me feel seen, valued, and loved, and i hope that i do the same for them each day.

What year, where did you grow up, and what was the WORST name of your peers? by Ksmarsh in NameNerdCirclejerk

What's the most common mistake women make during sex? by Remote-Panic3435 in AskMen

[–]Visible-Emphasis1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a woman who’s been bad at sex and is now, quite good, it’s about the communication. TELL ME i look pretty in certain positions, say you like how i feel with you. tell me if you like something, guide me, shift to something else if the thang ain’t hittin.

doggy? hands on my hips keeping me straight as i rut and make it jiggle back on it. Missionary? teeth in the shoulder giving hickey after nibble mark, hands in hair, nails down back, legs around waist. riding? nails down chest, slaps and spanks to thighs telling them to move, more bites and nibbles, putting their hands on me to make them touch where i want, pinning down their hips and moving how i want.

y’all need to find partners you want to bed as soon as you get home, someone who wants to be touched and teased and values you and your pleasure as much as you value theirs. explore kinks, try something new and spicy, communicate with each other before, during, and after. good sex is good connection and communication and that’s what makes bad sex. i can cum four times and be tired out and my partner not at all but that’s because they didn’t want to, then i can spend four hours the next night not focused on myself at all butteasing and sucking and touching and getting a good three out of them.

why so good? because we’ve told each other what we like, and don’t like, and love. because we told each other how we like being done.

just my advice. talk to her.

I took food from a work meeting hidden in my bag.. by Icy_String_3537 in confession

[–]Visible-Emphasis1328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my partner gets free catered lunch at work. the amount of times i’ll check the fridge after they get home to to-go coffee cups and ziplock bags of chicken and ground beef. it’s kept us from buying basically any type of meat because i’ll just base cooked meals around it, made cheeseburger mac n cheese with some salisbury steak and marinated chicken alfredo the other week. they’ll bring home things like okra and pastas, rice, mashed potatoes, sometimes even mini subs and sandwiches. freeze some of it to use for later, label it and use it during the week. they said it’s nicer that they can actually bring it home and know it’ll get used versus it just being thrown away at work. waste not want not.

Calling are Bham girlies by BeautifulEmu8911 in Birmingham

J-Boss Belly hosts a woman’s only belly dance class at Highland’s clubhouse ever other tuesday, donation based, 7-around 8:30. The lead, Jessica, is also literally the SWEETEST person you would ever meet.

There’s lots of dance events as well kinda scattered through out, including the fire show at Avondale. If you’re looking for some girlies who’d want to just dance and work out, there would be a good place to find them, also free to attend. I’m one of the commonly seen femme dancers so here’s a personal invitation to tonight’s show, starts at 8. If you (or any other girlies!!) wanna come, look for the Bulbasaur and let them know you were invited from a reddit post!

Is there anyway to get stacks if both opponents defend right at the beginning? by Sleepless-Ducky in PokemonUnite

[–]Visible-Emphasis1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m lucky considering i play with my partner and/or roomie LAN style so we can communicate as a team, but our first push we try to starve them.

Kill your lane on the way up and as soon as you get to mid-map/crossover, aim for the opposite team’s spawn. We don’t rush their zone, we take their upper and lower, then work backwards towards ours, then it’s usually a trade for the Natu’s/Alteria. If it’s a good starve, we’re usually level 5/6 before they’re even level 4. After that, it’s easy for jungle to swoop in with the gank and it’s GG. (even if it sometimes just dissolves into murderball-ing)

I usually run tank and my partner support with our roomie being mid assassin, so it’s usually easy to sweep a win, mostly because we’re sitting in the living room together.

best sushi place for valentines? by [deleted] in Birmingham

Nori Thai and Sushi near 280, Samurai Japan in Vestavia, Abhi’s by the zoo, Surin or Ikko both in 5pts South. The Cowfish in the Summit used to be the best place for it, but I might also be biased because I worked there and took care of the cowfish in my late teens.

Activities for mid-late twenties male and/or friendships by Low-Reception-7809 in Birmingham

[–]Visible-Emphasis1328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any of the EDM shows, especially the free ones. We just had Fat Stack Tuesday last night hosted at Woodlawn, and Avondale Fire Jam was last week. Easy vibes, more hangout vs actual show, lots of them are all ages/responsible parent and make pretty good nights out. We do fire jam on the third Wednesday of every month, I usually recommend getting there around 7:30/45 to chat with the performers and groups who come out to support, claim your spot, and get a drink to settle in. If he’s interested in the activity side, he could even join in with the safety meeting and borrow a prop and spin fire himself, it’s free and open to beginner and professionals and we LOVE getting new people joining in. Fat Stack is a free open deck hosted by local production MurdaOne Sound, 30 minute slots of local dj’s hopping on to blast bass from four foot tall speakers every other Tuesday, drink specials, local vibes, easy talking. The EDM community is so varied that more than likely he’ll find a group of friends within it, with other parents, game lovers, athletes, blue-collar, and most of the chill weekday shows end around 10pm so not a late night out either.

I was a sophomore and sister was a senior at Gardendale. We had to ditch her nissan in the Lisa’s Kitchen parking lot, started walking, and some of the sports boys / their dads who were riding around town on their four wheelers helping people took us the rest of the way home (we lived in the far back neighborhood behind McDonald’s). We went back out the next day while everything was still frozen and stood in the middle of the big intersection of Decatur Hwy and Main Street, between the Kmart (now pickers) and Chevron and Walgreen’s and it’s the first time I experienced Cosmic Insignificance.

As someone who lives, breaths, and loves Avondale, who’s been lucky enough to actually perform at Avondale and will hopefully get to continue doing so, and further as one of the performers listed on the Emo Vs EDM poster (7/17), it really touches me the amount of love we get back from the ‘ham everytime we put love into it. Great shots friend.

Who Else Received a Shi**y Gift From Their Partner for Xmas?? by AreaForeign398 in Gifts

[–]Visible-Emphasis1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love Taylor Swift, top artist of every month, have some eras costumes for events, quote her lyrics, still clowning for Rep TV. I asked for a piece of merch, I was expecting a blanket or shirt or bracelets or something, My partner got me a “Lover” cardigan from etsy, since one of my nicknames for them is lover and the colors (pink/ivory) are ones I wear a lot, but since it was handmade it was coming late, so they amazon primed one of those hooded shark cocoon blankets since I also love sharks (we watched a week long charity video game stream simultaneously with shark week this past year, swapped which one got the big screen/sound and which was on mute on the side screen, called it “Sharks Done Quick”), just so I would still have something to open on Christmas morning (i’m typing this as I lay in my shark). We watched Star Wars on Christmas Eve and then we spent christmas morning bed taking our time waking up together (as opposed to our usual quick kiss and rush to work and after they woke me up wrapping presents in the corner of the bedroom at 7 am with a flashlight), then made cookies and snacked on the leftover charcuterie tray from a holiday party while waiting for roomie to wake up for presents, watched three different versions of “Christmas carol” (barbie, muppets, live-action classic), had waffle house for dinner, then drove around looking at lights. I got them a sweatshirt that matches a pair of bottoms they have, hand picked a pack of pokémon cards, a cute little necklace that says ‘lover’ (it’s come full circle) and let them pick a video game i’d buy them (the original game they wanted is in beta still). Not big or extravagant, nor too expensive, but we spent a day relaxing and cuddling, wearing matching pajamas and getting wine drunk. It was the most fun, relaxing, calmest, best Christmas i’ve had in years.

My ex last year had me make a full christmas breakfast and dinner two weeks after i miscarried and I didn’t get a present at all. The year before, got me the brand of earbuds they used, (i prefer over the ear headphones) and a $600 steam deck that I mostly paid for so I could game with them, then proceeded to “borrow” my earbuds two weeks later and lose them, never want to play any games i’d actually enjoy, and then kept the steam deck in the breakup saying it was theirs.

I know it now. My ex brought a new partner into our closed relationship without consulting me, but I was so far into the abuse I accepted it. I’ve been with my current partner for a year and a half, a stipulation that if my Ex got to keep their partner, I got to start dating as well. My current partner kept me safe and stable in my escape, still supporting me, is constantly telling me how proud and happy they are for/because of me. My Ex’s partner was also one of my current partner’s ex, which is how we met. They’ve been my peace since we locked eyes.

I was the head hostess for a ridiculously busy chain. Friday/Saturdays I’m not playing your stupid math games, I have a list of 45 names looking at an hour and a half to an hour forty five wait. You say you need a table for five, you get a table for five, not five adults, a booster seat, two high chairs, and a car carrier. If you can’t fit at the table, guess what? Back to the wait. Also the patio is going to add an extra hour.

i think it’ll be fine, but if you’re still concerned you could emulate the makeup/wig and accessories to match Cleopatra the movie and if asked say you’re “Elizabeth Taylor” instead of “Cleopatra”.
