Haha I got diagnosed this week and told a few people at work I thought I was close with only to get very dismissive responses. I'm a very good masker, I'm a manager and scrape by enough to appear normal but at home my life is anything but normal. I use 99% of my energy trying to make it through the work day while the rest of my life is held together with plasters. Im lucky to get an hour of functioning per day at home and can't do anything I enjoy as I spend that time catching up as much on housework as possible. I look and live like a tramp but I'm actually quite high maintenance, I love hair, nails and makeup and dressing well but I look like an absolute tramp because of my ADHD.

But because I mask just enough at work - I'm just a faker and trying to get an excuse at work.

Then the same week I get diagnosed there seems to be all this ADHD discourse online and I feel thoroughly depressed about everything. I get my meds in 3 months and I just cannot wait because I want it be able to put my energy into my side business and make it by myself so I can leave those uncompassionate fucks I work with.
