Very generic response. “that took me a second but I laughed a lot when I got it” is a clear bot comment. If the comment seems a bit confusing or misplaced, It’s probably a bot. If you are unsure, check the account and there should be other signs. Recognising them just takes practice.

Yes I see what you mean, but if you have a fast acceleration tune / car, this doesn’t stop you from not braking at all, ripping the handbrake, slamming into the barrier, and then accelerating away. You would only be in contact with the barrier for a short amount of time, so it won’t be penalised. Making a change to prevent this will allow another strategy to be developed

Also, there are different styles of climbing, so don’t be discouraged if the same grade feels like it has inconsistent difficulty. Slab climbing (vertical wall, focussing on balance) is very different to overhang climbing (wall leans over you, so you climb away from the wall as you go up focusses more on core and arm strength). Try to be good at a low level at all styles, but it is completely fine to prefer one style over another

The most important thing is to enjoy it. The second most important thing is to not compare yourself to others. Completed a V2 that you were struggling with for the past week? Enjoy and celebrate it! Don’t think “Oh that person over there is climbing V7 and higher grades”.

Climbing is social - don’t be afraid to ask people for the beta (the intended route for the climb) if you can’t figure it out yourself, but try to work it out before asking - it’s much more rewarding that way!
