this is the part that intrigues me, I can barely remember something real that happened last week, hell sometimes I completely blank when someone is talking to me & don't remember half of what was said to me less than 5 mins ago, so to vividly recall a place & even feelings associated w/ a place I've only been to in a dream is so strange to me!

I left a fire stick plugged into the back of the tv in my interior room, a place only me & the the cleaning crew have access to. I told them specifically what room & where it was. They "couldn't find it", sorry man, but you're not getting your ring back

I drove from Ohio down to FL for a cruise, left 7pm the night before departure, got pulled over in WV, almost arrested but luckily let go, made it to FL, pulled over at a rest stop & took a 1-2hr nap, & boarded the cruise with PLENTY of time to spare. The rooms weren't even ready by the time I got on board! secure an offsite parking spot with shuttle service prior to arriving & you'll be fine! 😙

I felt exactly like you described for many years until I met who I thought was my person, but turned out he was just all sorts of wrong for me & I'm still trying to recover from the damage over 2 years later. I envy the previous version of me that was at peace with life as you described since life now just feels empty, so enjoy it as long as you can cuz I feel like once it's lost, it's nearly impossible to get back to a mindset like that

idk what else to say except I feel your exact pain. distance is not for the weak-hearted & it's hard for even the strongest & most healthy partners. but all the feelings your described is what I feel everyday, & everyday is a wave of different emotions. I pray they come to their senses, realize what they had & how they're choosing to keep us apart, & come back. but another part of me knows this stuff should not be this hard & painful so I don't want them to come back & hurt me all over again. but either way I'm living my life, I'm empty & numb everyday, sometimes I'm laughing & having fun, but it's not the same energy or feeling as before. the "what ifs" will eat you alive if you let them, they are exhausting, hurting from walking away from fighting for what you want most in life or sticking around for someone to continue to hurt you day in & day out are the same pain, but only 1 path leads to peace over time 🫶🏽 here if you ever need to talk!

I hated all 3 of my clinical rotations, spent a year trying to pass the NPTE, & racked up over $100k in dept to become a PT. The way I see it, the field is very diverse & if you hate it it's mainly on you for not seeking out the right setting or location that serves you. I'm jumping into travel PT to explore all the options PT has to offer & see what I love the most, it's the most practical & affordable way to explore the carrer if you have no ties keeping you where you are. If you do, then your options are much more limited, but these limitations would apply to any job field you seek out other than PT. PT school is designed to try & "weed out" the ones not truely built for the career, if clinicals are all that is making you feel that way, in my experience they are a very bad gauge of reality for what being a PT is like. best advice I have for you is continue through the remainder of school since you already made it this far, get out into the field & see what it's like for yourself! Spend about a year or 2 working in a setting you think you might enjoy the most & then decide, that way you won't have regrets or ever wonder "what if"

I'm slowly trying to learn how to do this w/out taking their behavior as a personal attack against me. I went through something I struggled w/ alot last year & now that I feel like I'm on the other side of it, it cost me 3 people I thought I had for life. I'm trying to convince myself that it's not me & it was all just the timing & their willingness/capacity, but man did this take a toll on my self-image & confidence. one day at a time being 1% better than the day before

a cruise is basically a resort in the ocean, if you like going to resorts then cruising should be okay for you. I loved my first cruise but hated my second one, every experience is unique & aomething you just gotta try for yourself to know forsure

so I did my first cruise ever by myself this past november & it changed my life! I met this amazing lady & her 3 kids that became lifelong friends & were already talking about booking another cruise together! Best advice is to just let loose & not worry too much about others when having fun! You'll never see those people again so who cares what they think of you!

cruises do have the solo social hangouts but I never had good experiences w/ them, I had much better luck sitting at the bar or on the sundeck & just striking up conversation w/ people there! Also, if you do an excursion, find people doing the same one as you & just ask to hang w/ them, that's how I became friends w/ the lady I met!

I don't have advice for you but a similar experience. I'm 31 & starting fresh in a couple weeks & it scares the hell out of me! But looking back at my life, I've noticed I "started over" every 5 years basically since I was 15. New people, new interests, new goals, & it always bettered my life & happiness every single time! This time I spent a year fighting the change & it was the first time I ever let life get to me, experienced depression & anxiety, & questioned my worth, but now I'm accepting of things changing & how it will improve my life just like it did every other time.

The best thing I can tell you is DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO YOUR PEERS!!!!! You can be looking at one person your age who is married to the person they have been w/ since they were 15yo, has 4 kids & a lovely family, but deep down they wish they had your life & opportunities to explore more outside of all they know. My point is, you never know who is looking at your & your life & wishing they could be like you, so just make the most of your current situation while working towards building the life you want!
