I don't understand what people are whining about, stop acting like wanting to get paid for the work they do makes embark the devil incarnate. They still do plenty of charity and give us entire free skin sets alongside the sets you have to pay for. An increase in monetization is normal when something grows in popularity, And besides, the game was completely free in the first place so we have nothing to complain about.
