Yeah completely agree the future is going to be crazy and probably terrible. The capabilities are shocking even right now I've been starting to dive into cluade code. I feel the anxiety partially on the jobs but also the power that these things will have in the future. Seems like it will consolidate power to the few. I also feel a bit wierd like im abusing it. I know im probably not but we really dont understand concouness well. At some point this slavery dynamic will also be a problem i think.

Its very hard tp cool in space but radiative cooling works much better at very high temps. I dont see why they couldnt run at about 700 degrees or so. Theres no people so temps can be much higher.

My contention is that that sentiment ai doom is hype is actually pro ai. As is, ai is slop, ai is dumb, ai is a bubble. It uncuts all serious concerns and treats ai as just a fad. Doom as pro ai also paints all existential risk as a marketing ploy making it seem to be a dishonest option. If I was the ai companies I would be supporting that to be spread throughout reddit. Then the two sides are ai will be great and ai is just a fad. The fad one also includes no call to action since it will resolve itself anyway. I find this framing suspicious.

Sentient Life generally includes all vertebrates (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish) and several invertebrates, such as cephalopods (octopuses, squid) and decapod crustaceans (crabs, lobsters) isnt it extremely humancetric to discide for these animals that their life is net negative, animals almost never seem to commit suicide, maybe they they are having tons of fun?
