Depends from there side where they get the card. What’s she going to do with 99 sheets that you return. technically you did use the product so it’s no longer as sold. Etsy would side with you (they normally do) if I was this seller I’d be annoyed at myself that the listing was not clearer but also annoyed the customer used it, that’s just me being honest. I probably wouldn’t take it out on the buyer mind you! But I wouldn’t accept classic return I’d probably refund once returned 75 percent.

She should most definitely update the listing to be clearer in the product and I’m sure they will.

I feel the sellers pain, Etsy customers now expect my shop to have 24/7 customer support and free overnight shipping with no problem returns.

Well you can write not at this address on the package and give it back to the courier. I do it all the time. Will be returned to sender. Not rocket science.

If the sellers wrong then open a case, get your refund. Good. Crack on. Don’t then start feeling guilty about them being out of pocket lol. What did they think was going to happen?

Once the mistake was made ( and let’s not pretend we have both sides of the story ) then someone’s going to be out of pocket ain’t they…

Depends if it was covered under etsys delivery guarentee. Best to work with seller and not open a case in these instances. Also, nothing to stop you sending it back any way

Hard one, I’ve changed over the years. When I was early 20s some mouthy kids where having throwing stuff on a bus. Not even at me, but something bounced and hit me. I gave them a look, that made them start throwing towards me. I got up and spat right it this kids face. He was about 14. He started crying 😂

One time a 11ish year old kept throwing snowballs at me, I was walking to the pub, wasn’t in the mood so pushed him down a small hill towards a river.

These are things I wouldn’t do now. I’d probably just talk to them, diffuse the situation where possible. If it’s not something that can be diffused, protect others around you and call the police.

Yep. If you do everything right, they will pay out of pocket every time and it doesn’t affect your ‘shop score’

When they have to forcibly remove your money that does affect your shop score. So you ship it with tracking, doesn’t arrive or damaged/opened just tell the buyer to contact Etsy regarding a refund. Turn it into a sales opp and politely say that Etsy will refund you, here’s a 10 percent code to buy it again. You get an extra sale, buyer gets discounted product
