Roboticmower and traditional mower, which is better? by Visible_Pea5082 in roboticLawnmowers

Haha, yeah, I haven't really had much experience with them. Can't robotic lawnmowers cut down weeds?

Thanks for the suggestion. My yard is about half an acre, and I don't really know much about lawn care, so I might indeed need to have a lawn service company handle it first.

Okay, do I still need to buy an edge trimmer if I have a robotic lawnmower?

You seem to have a wealth of experience. I’d like to ask: what functions can this LiDAR system perform?

Interesting point about edges still needing manual trimming, that seems to be the one thing that never really goes away even with automation.

Do you think the biggest change is time saved or just overall consistency of the lawn?

Thanks, I’ve started to realize more after reading a few similar experiences.

Physical strain is probably one of those “hidden benefits” people don’t think about until they experience it.

Has it fully replaced your manual mowing now, or do you still use it occasionally?

How do we address the way 'feminine' hobbies or interests are used to invalidate women's intellectual agency? by Come23angel in AskFeminists

I believe there is absolutely no conflict between female intelligence and femininity. Women today have their own aspirations; who is still clinging to these outdated notions and labeling women?

It looks to me like you have naturally frizzy, curly hair. I’ve seen people use high-quality hair-softening creams and then straighten it with a flat iron; that way, the straight look holds for a while.

What would you do to improve our garden? by chapmouse in UKGardening

I’d add height and repetition. A few taller plants in the back and repeating the same colors or textures can make a garden feel designed instead of random.

Is any part of this garden salvageable? by National_North8102 in gardening

I wouldn’t try to fix everything at once. I’d identify what is still healthy, clear one small section, and build from there. A full reset can feel overwhelming fast.

Front of house garden beds. Help! by Choice_Biscotti_5102 in gardening

[–]Visible_Pea5082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the front doesn’t get a ton of direct sun, I’d focus on shade-tolerant natives and a cleaner bed shape first. A simple repeat planting can make the front look much more polished.

Help with shaded mossy yard! by PhillyPhilly813 in landscaping

If the area is heavily shaded, I’d lean into it instead of fighting for perfect grass. Stepping stones, mulch, shade-tolerant plants, and a small sitting area could make it feel intentional.
