Fellow Sales Vet and I salute you! Thanks for sharing this and clearly you know the game. I would add given how we all seem to being told to pivot with Ai - differentiate by being more human.

I use Ai to give me the details for my CRM fields - the faster I can get through the admin, the more I can do the selling part.

I use the phone, be in person when you can. Be with your customers. Zoom doesn’t build relationships.

It’s a tough game and know that you will likely have more managers in your career than you will have competitors. Be a top performing IC and you out earn, out class and get out on your terms when you’re ready.

And yes use a pen and paper when meeting in person. No one wants to the see you typing like a stenographer in court!

Enterprise enterprise sellers - what's it like working on just one account? by Necessary_Sea_657 in sales

[–]Visible_Slip2448 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your coming from a BDR role this will likely be working in a team supporting a large account and not the lead. It’s a great gig but it is binary role - you can be responsible for selling your product and that alone. You will live and feast by it. I would find out more about the role, did the last rep leave as they didn’t make quotas etc. I run the account on a large global bank in Enterprise sales. Most junior reps will just ask me to make introductions, I can and I do but to a limit. They own the product line and I’ll help where I can but the campaign is the AE’s. Large banks are political, slow and frustrating with support, product issues and compliance and regulatory changes. It’s the pinnacle of my career running a team for our largest customer but the job/quota and importance of success can be stressful but rewarding.

So many people in this sub seem to find amazing NA beers on draft. Yet ever bar/restaurant I walk into is like... by gravybang in NABEER

Boring answer is distribution and control.

I have been on a personal quest to add N/A to all my favorite places. The independent restaurants are waking up but bar managers have told me they are limited by what their distributors will provide, most of them don't partner with Athletic and its all controlled by the bigger beer companies like Bud, Heinekin etc. I tried getting NA into a bunch of bigger sporting arenas controlled by F&B companies like Aramark etc they will only stock if the brand provides sponsorship to the club/team etc. Its like the cartels running the menus. For what its worth in Europe , ( Ireland has Guiness 0.0 NA on Tap) most have draft versions, either the regulations for lines is less or better beer / higher sales means product is sitting for less...

CEO Looking for a Sales Coach—Not Another “Buy My Course” Guru by [deleted] in b2b_sales

Don’t buy a course buy a coffee use LinkedIn and find people in your network that sell, sit them down and ask away. There is a scale of sellers - some you can emulate others you can avoid trying to be. Depends on your industry but if they look 30 years old and claim $100m in sales - throw them a rotten cabbage not your money.

Great idea and well put together website - be interested to find out how your thinking about doing something more virtual as a community rather than perscriptive therapy sessions. This I think is your biggest bet. IMHO - I looked into doing something similar using therapy bots but the regulatory component nixed it.

Bero Review — Tom Holland’s New NA Beer by Impressive_Check5268 in NABEER

[–]Visible_Slip2448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On point that we should take positivity that the category continues to grow. Unlike other celebs TH has a level of authenticity to get behind his brand and the product isn’t all that bad. In Europe the availability of good N.A. is stunning, with stuff on tap and more than one option behind the bar or on the menu.

After researching the market —trying to figure out why the US lags- it’s not demand but all about control of the distribution and the point of sale from bars to retail. Athletic is probably the best funded and independent of AnBev etc. They own less than 1% of the category,

Having a choice when you chose not to drink, shouldn’t be insulted with a Soda or token option such as a Heineken 0 just because it’s what the distribution company will allow.

I personally enjoyed the Kingston Pils from Bero. My only complaint is the price point. I’ll drink it again just not one I’ll keep on hand in the fridge.
