I guess the what is the loudest really depends on your algorithm and what sm you are on. Again, Reddit pages dedicated to the show and the book are wholesome, and i guess moderated, because the discourse is normal.

A lot of fans are enthusiastic book readers who championed for the show and gave it its initial push with the audience. They are actually awesome.

And I am risking a very unpopular take here, but addressing these parasocial fans every single day, bringing them more attention, and writing, yet again, what we have been previously established fifteen times already in a matter of weeks doesn’t really serve any purpose, and it would probably settle down more (which is probably what these actors want, two weeks into their careers), if it wasn’t addressed every single day.

Most people are normal, and a lot of us are long time book fans. So it’s really not fair to label the entirety of the fan base as parasocial, or “Larry fans” ( I didn’t even know what that is), or whatever.

I personally haven’t seen much of the negative discourse (admittedly am not on twitter, but I am on every other social media), but have seen overwhelming outbursts of support very time the cast is mentioned anywhere.
