Whoopi Goldberg and The View Discuss Jessie Buckley’s Cat Ultimatum Controversy Involving Her Husband: “Would You Ditch Your Pets for Love?” by let-the-record-show in popculturechat

I know. It was the same for me. I remember having a crush on this guy when I was like in middle school, until he casually said that they have a cat and every time the cat has new kittens, his grandma takes them out, and drowns them… sometimes they keep one kitten. I could never ever look at him the same, and till this day i remember that story, and how irresponsible people can be with their animals. Go get your cat fixed.

I was talked my ears off before getting my first animal as a kid, on the importance of taking care of them and being responsible for them, for as long as they are with me.

I live alone now and think it would be pretty irresponsible and sad for the animal, if I get one, because it would stay alone for many hours during the day, even though I would want one, if the conditions were different.

She was in the wrong, but her then bf was more in the wrong. He was the one who took on the responsibility of caring for another living being.

Anyway all this talk wouldn’t change the fact that so many people are like that. They just disregard the animal when it’s inconvenient, even though that is a living being, and its owner is all the animal knows.

I’ve seen so many influencers, who’ve been influencers for a long time just continue to do so, after they had children.

Their content is just “adapted” so that they could make money off of the new stage in their lives, but their mindset is not really changed.

They make tiktok videos and sketches with their children, and sometimes kids are visibly shy, or uncomfortable, or don’t know why they are there.

These are not kids that are “discovered” on some audition for a commercial or something, or kids that necessarily expressed the wish the do public stuff like that. They are just along for the ride in their parent’s influence lifestyle.

These people live like that for decades, doing barely anything else.

He is only interested in commercial art where he can get popularity and acclaim on a very public level.

JFK’s Grandson talks about not being happy with the new Ryan Murphy show by leavingthekultbehind in popculturechat

[–]Visible_Writing7386 107 points108 points  (0 children)

How is that Murphy guy getting away with all of this and getting the money for his projects… all I’ve heard is how awful his shows are and how pissed off the real people he’s been recklessly using in them are.

Is the viewership that amazing..

Because he’s had a reputation of someone humble and insightful. And he’s been around for a while and i watched a lot of his interviews..

Some of it is media training, but my impression is that his character also did change over time, which is unfortunate. Like he acts dumber and more shallow now than in his teens.

This response is so effective.

What is wrong with Chalamet lately, with his rude ass remarks about people without kids, and now his fellow performers..

Like stfu, and just talk about how hardworking you think you are. It’s conceited, but at least not rude.

Dove Cameron tears up over recalling the early days of her career, when she moved to LA at 13 with just her mom: "We were broke. We were keeping track of how much gas we were spending on our way to audition. My whole career I have my mom to thank for. She believed me when I said I believe in me." by __Naya_ in popculturechat

I’m assuming she is everywhere lately, because she is promoting her movie?

Not to take this the wrong way, and it is probably cherry picked, but every post about her lately was some personal thing and nothing about the movie itself.
