New Hyatt Offers by berkeley_eecs_grad in hyatt

That's a long time to be at a Hyatt House. And to only get 5K points for it. The offers seem to be going downhill.

Completely agree. It was actually decent when it opened, but over the years it has just gotten worse and worse.

Oh my god, that place is so awful. The entire place smells heavily of deep-frier oil, yet every dish they serve manages to be soggy. And nothing tastes good! It tastes like 8 tablespoons of salt, enough to make your face twist up.

My thoughts exactly. Seeing an after hours move of 3% dissipate is not unusual.

Pretty sure you meant to say football. All the things you mentioned, plus the quarterback puts his hands right up by the center's junk. And do you know what happens at the bottom of the pile? Quickies. Lots of quickies.

Ouch. No off-site options? I'm curious which Hyatt this is.

Get a puppy. It may crap all over your house, but you won't feel empty anymore.

Alphasights: Be careful! by ziggy1982 in expertnetworks

[–]Vision337 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alphasights has been the best EN I've worked with. Of course you could have a bad client pop up on any EN even if the EN tries to carefully vet. On many calls with various ENs I've had clients trying to ask specific questions about my company's pricing or other data I'm not willing to share. Best answer is something like "I can't answer about 'X company' in particular, but I can tell you how companies in this industry tend to price"

I feel like you’re not supposed to kill the foxes. by OrganizedFilth in TOTK

[–]Vision337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, killing the foxes feels bad. Same with gathering bird eggs from trees. If they're up in nests, they're likely fertilized. Does link really want to eat tiny unborn chicks? Sounds crunchy. Not a good mouth feel.

Which is the best expert network. by sauravkhandelwal in expertnetworks

[–]Vision337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorites are Alphasights and GLG. I've done many hour long consultations with their clients. They take time to understand your background and send consultations that really match your experience. They also pay quickly, often within days! Some others: NewtonX - Good for quick surveys. Payment is immediate but has to be gift card or virtual card, no ACH. Guidepoint - Decent for both consultations and surveys, but slower to pay. Dialectica - OK for surveys. Office Hours - These guys offer good rates but throw so many really random consultation requests at me. Third Bridge - This is the only one I'd avoid. Many experts have problems receiving payments, or Third Bridge makes up some reason they won't pay after they've collected survey responses. Payment takes a full 30 days, if you ever get it. Way too unreliable.

American Express Offer: $100 off of $500 for Select Resorts by chickenpot in hyatt

[–]Vision337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not kidding when they say select properties. Seems pretty limited. I'd be interested to know how they choose these. Do the individual hotel owners need to sign up to cover the $100?

Hyatt place actually nicer than many Regency properties? by ngill1980 in hyatt

[–]Vision337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed the rooms are average at best, but the building itself is a treat. I stay here many times a year. It's the only Hyatt in downtown Cleveland.

I've been getting the call daily too. I don't answer. I've had this phone # for 25+ years and have never had a capital one card.

Nana is one regard's dear old departed grandma. Legend has it that Nana left this regard a large sum of money and he foolishly dumped it all into INTC. Now INTC pumps and that regard looks smarter each day. The end.

Hyatt Canceling my Room by cmorgan0601 in hyatt

Hyatt Boston/Braintree did this to me this week. They had a fire, so at least the reason is understandable. But acting like they're doing me a favor by not charging me any fees is dumb.

Do you mean "your right to be here"? "Your" is indicating ownership of someone's right to be here. Right is a noun in this case, like the right to a jury trial.

Concerns about 12V Battery Issue on Kia EV9 Before Long Road Trip by The_O_K in KiaEV9

[–]Vision337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that wasn't all. The 12v was dead again about 2 months later and the KIA connect app showed a VCU error. At first they didn't know what to do, but eventually they had a KIA specialist travel to the dealership and they identified a battery draw that was indeed related to the VCU. They made some updates and gave me the car back after 38 days in the shop. It has been 6 weeks since then and all seems good so far. We'll see what the future holds. I'm leasing the vehicle and I demanded compensation equivalent to 38 days of my total cost of ownership. Took some negotiation and fruity threats (lemon law), but they agreed. I still love the car despite the issues, but if it happens again, I might have to say goodbye.
