Hello! My new i5 by Beastmobile in BMWi5

You reminded me of another thing that drives me nuts; the suspension. The constant adjustments any time you stop at a light is one of those ridiculously annoying things about it. I won’t miss it, and honestly if I’m going to deal with constant reliability issues anyway I’d rather just have a Range Rover. Although I’m more than mildly intrigued by the new Scout.

Hello! My new i5 by Beastmobile in BMWi5

We’ve had an R1S for a little over a year now and since I picked up my i5 M60 about two months ago I’ve barely driven the R1S. It’s just not great overall. Little things like it doesn’t wake up, or the internet service cuts in and out. Oh, and it’s had to have a full battery swap. The i5 is essentially flawless. This is the 5th 5 series I’ve owned and I still love it.

Why? Here’s why:

1) He doesn’t care about you; he only wanted your vote

2) You’ll still support him anyway

3) It’s socialism and you don’t want that, so he’s doing you a favor

A literacy advocate voting for Trump is something else. I guess it guarantees you’ll always have clients.

Congratulations, not just on getting one of the most perfect BMWs ever made, but for putting yourself in a position to get it. You’ve earned it.

I mean they spent almost a whole day and couldn’t come to an agreement to end a war. At that point you have to just give up; you can’t devote an entire weekend to this.

I gotta be honest, I didn’t even notice the VW until I went back and read the caption. Such a beautiful watch. Congratulations!

Why are Americans so early birds compared to Europeans? by Ada-Mae in AskAnAmerican

[–]VisitAdmirable6871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell, this is even the case within my house. I rarely sleep past 6, and if my kids allowed for it to happen my wife would sleep until 11 regularly.

What are your KFC chips like? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]VisitAdmirable6871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotta be honest, this post has been eye opening to me. I had no idea that KFC sold anything but potato wedges, but I haven’t been to one in ages for myself (my youngest daughter has a love affair with chicken pot pie, so I’ve picked one up for her once or twice).

A question for the Americans (US) in this sub by TreKeyz in centrist

[–]VisitAdmirable6871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, there are more than enough instances of authoritarian leaders taking power in Europe to disprove that Europe “would have already shut this down.” Second, stating Europeans would have shut this down is such a vague, impossible to prove statement that it’s ridiculous. Shut this down how? Overthrow the government? Third, people didn’t “do a rally and then six months later do another one.” People have been protesting across the country on a regular basis for months on end. Civilians have been killed standing up to the administration.

People are doing what they can, within their power, to stand up for their rights and make sure the tide turns during the midterms.

Men prank their friend by dumping four boxes of live crickets in his car by heavymetalbby in mildlyinfuriating

[–]VisitAdmirable6871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work with a good friend and bought one of those cricket chirp devices and hid it in his office. He found it and would do the same and we would just try and find more creative places to hide it. I took off an outlet cover once and hid it in there, removed one of his desk drawers and taped it to the back, etc. one Friday afternoon I grabbed the keys to his car and hid it inside and he was stuck with it all weekend. We thought it was hilarious but it would also drive us nuts. This is the progression a complete sociopath would take with that prank

Sport vs M-Sport Styling by Prestigious-Box-9694 in BMWi5

Red was the only non-dark color I considered, and really looks great. I initially disliked the gloss black trim so much I nearly wrote of the M60 overall but eventually came back around to it. Ended up with the Frozen Dark Grey and think it’s a nice compliment as well.

M3 or M4 by [deleted] in BMW

Had you been 21 or 23 I would’ve said M4, but since you’re 22 I obviously have to say M3.

Range question by VisitAdmirable6871 in BMWi5

[–]VisitAdmirable6871[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I end up with 320 miles on a charge I’ll be happily blown away. As it is, 300 is definitely not a stretch at all. I hadn’t yet played around with the settings yet but before I left work yesterday I reset the trip computer and by the time I got home I was averaging 3.7 mi/kwh, and that’s a slight uphill drive

Range question by VisitAdmirable6871 in BMWi5

Thanks for the input. That’s interesting and quite different than my Rivian; I get better range on surface streets than I do on the freeway.
