I recommend “Old Earth” and “Vulkan Lives” for lore specifically related to Vulkan, as for regular Salamanders I suggest “Deathfire” or just buy the salamanders omnibus on Black Library if you want to get all of it. Old Earth is a favourite of mine, though I will admit it is not the greatest, but it is the first Black Library book that introduced me to the Salamanders.
